A good Wasp knows how to avoid being flipped. Ok?

Stopping or slowing down to make people miss only makes you take longer to get to your destination. You are probably going to say "That's what wasp's speed is for." Don't think just because you have the best speed and acceleration in the game, you can waste precious time to make enemies miss. because the enemies will corner you or push you. Edited by Dark-Rim

^ A debate against Wasp vs. Hornet

So, with Hornet, you can just march on through the enemy fire? Hornet is not Mammoth, my friend. And I never said anything about dodging, or stopping, I just said a skilled Wasp can avoid being flipped.

Hornet has the health to take sufficient damage while still surviving long enough to escape the enemy base. And if not by dodging how else will you avoid being flipped?

Well Frankly I use a M1 Hornet with an M1 Thunder but like the railgun but lag prevents hits with railgun. The M1 Ricochet just doesn't cut it.

Should I make it to an M2 its going to be tuff

Ok, lets say we're discussing M4s here. In my experience at the Test Server, my Wasp would take far less damage than my Hornet would. Speed is often enough to make people miss. Also, Railgun will only flip you if you aren't being careful.

K43, you should have had that combo M2 3 ranks ago

Have you seen the timing and skill of Railgun users at high ranks? That's when it becomes a true problem. Railgun users at that point have mastered the ability to flip any light hull. Hornet just has a better chance to stay on its feet. It takes less damage because many people miss, I admit at middle ranks its OP if used correctly, but it gets outclassed as people become more skilled. You may also become more skilled, but wasp truly becomes useless compared to hornet at the high ranks.

Here's my opinion.

How you can get flipped:

1. Enemy fire. Railguns, Smokies, and Shafts are the main culprits, but I suppose you could do it with other knockback turrets as well.

2. Getting pushed off. Not that common, but still a consideration.

3. Negligence on your part in driving. Once in a while, it happens.

4. Firing your weapon while not all parts of your tank are on the ground, in mid air if you will. This happens fairly often. Not a problem with non-recoil weapons.

For Hornet:

1. Maybe that happens a bit less than with Wasp, but keep in mind both were not built for taking enemy fire in the first place.

2. Hornet has higher weight, so this is less of a concern. Most people don't try this tactic, though, so it isn't a big deal most of the time.

3. Hornet is more forgiving if you're not good at driving.

4. Hornet will have this problem, but it's not a huge issue with Smoky.

For Wasp:

1. Wasp is quite vulnerable to this, but if you can avoid enemy fire (prevention is the key) or at the very least stay on flat ground, it shouldn't be a huge problem.

2. Wasp is vulnerable to this, but again, this isn't very common.

3. Wasp has a learning curve. Once you master the driving, this will not be a problem.

4. This is a big pet peeve of mine with Wasp. If you're in mid air, have a weapon with sufficient recoil (Smoky, Thunder, Shaft, Railgun), and fire perpendicularly to your hull, there is a high likelihood if you being flipped. Smart Wasp users will not fire until they are on level ground, but that delay is inconvenient. Upgrading your weight helps.

So you can either flip a few times, or slam into every fricking wall that you encounter as you try to turn. Up to you, I guess

*The few people who have stuck with Wasp up until that rank have "mastered the ability" to deal with Railguns.

@Killer: Liked your point 4. As a car enthusiast, Wasp is the only answer to be. I can't stoop down to the level of bad drivers!

In XP battles, hornet is a lot easier to use than wasp. During the battle, it is a common occurrence for your own tank to shoot at the same time as the enemy tank. With railgun's high recoil and impact force it's a double whammy to your tank. It will in fact be a miracle, if you're using wasp and your tank doesn't flip. Hornet has a lot more stability in such cases. And those of you who are saying that the difference in speed between hornet and wasp is a lot, I'd ask you to compare hornet and hunter. The difference is a lot more between these two. Going by the same logic, hunter is worse than hornet. Same goes for all the other heavier hulls.

i've almost never got flipped with wasp anyways,if not on my own fault.

but what i wanted to say,it's that hornet has the best acceleration between the two, because of an higher power stat.

you got banned on trom right and yea hornet sometimes seems that it has 200 hp more than wasp to some people like as if with wasp get out of cover you die on the spot and hornet like if it gets out of cover that nothing will hurt it a lot and that after a bombardment you are just cleaning of the dirt .

@ AOFOX: With M3s, if you are using Wasp and you shoot as you are shot (in BP/XP), you will do a 360 spin and land on your tracks again. If you are using Hornet, you will land on your back.

Regarding speed difference, I was being sarcastic. Everyone acts like Hornet has tons more health than Wasp, so I said Wasp has tons more speed than Hornet. ._.

wasp beats it in everything

Wasp: dNrBtwv.png

Hornet: xqz1Ioy.png

At M2, which is the modification you're talking about, Hornet beats Wasp in HP, Weight and Power.

You seriously need to stop with the rubbish.
