You should go for only one of them. I've got a slight preference for Hornet because of its extra protection and better stability. It has some less speed than Wasp, but its speed is really sufficient for me.

Hornet and wasp

The neverending battle

Here's with hornet-

Good armour

Stability

Good for stop and go motion

Drifting is a problem or an advantage

Armour applies for both

 

Now for wasp-

Lots, lots of speed

Speed helps for peek-a-boo tactics

Speed helps for dodging ( in different ways)

Instability is just irritating

Armour,of course, applies for both

Wasp is far better long-term. Not only is Wasp better in general, Wasp M2 has more health than Hornet M2. However, you will need plenty of MUs for Wasp M1 to stay relevant.

I found the perfect analogy for Hornet: Hornet is to Tanki Online as is East Sleep Rave Repeat is to music.

I have Smoky and Ricochet M2. Smoky is much better. It's more powerful and a game changer.

In clan wars yes; though Wasp has another great ability.

Peek-a-boo tactics have never been easier because of the position of the turret.

Yes, because of what you mentioned, I like rail with wasp better than with hornet, even though I usually don't even like wasp.

Hornet is getting useless at higher ranks

it is cause more players want more xp on there tanks and be able to live longer on shoots to get more points / kills

if you use hornet or hunter there hulls are weaker to viking /and other stronger hulls
