What should I buy first? :(

Recommended Posts

Im sorry guys I'm making another one of these forums out there cause I'm sure this has been answered many times, but none of them seem to help me and suit my needs, or I just dont know what to search for excatly.. So lets get on with it..

Hey, I have been very stuck lately and I am still trying to find out what m1 weapon or hull I should get first thats worth it and is the best choice! I have every weapon and hull, except for mammoth.. I have about 2000 crystals atm and thats not even close enough for even a upgrade.

I still need a few more levels to even be able to buy the upgrade, so I am going to be saving up and buying crystals too...

So at which level should I buy my first upgrade? That would be recommended, I've heard people say smoky, but im still unsure.. I also want to know the reasons why I should buy the specific upgrade for the weapon or hull so I know why its good/bad...

Also please if you guys can, would one of you guys be able to give me like the top 6 or 8 weapons and hulls I should buy in order? It would help me alot in the near future..

Thanks guys so much! All feedback is obliged :)

You're going to buy Crystals? Say what. Unless you're going to be a hardcore buyer, I don't recommend buying 6-8 M1 equipment. Stay with one Combination (Hull and Turret). I guess you can have 2 turrets at M1 and one Hull at M1. However, do not upgrade everything to M1. It will waste your time. So focus on One combination. Keep upgrading that combo until M2. Then you may work on other weapons/hulls to M1. Though you might want to think about M3 equipment. If you're having trouble seeing which item to upgrade first, Weapon or Hull, look at their stats. How much does M0 differ from M1, and what's the price. Find the one that's worth it the most and upgrade that. And another tip is to wait for Sales. Check out their Facebook page or something to see about upcoming sales, or check on the Internet for Russian Holidays. This is a Russian game after all, so they usually have sales on important Russian Holidays or international Holidays like Christmas or Halloween.

I don't recommend Smoky. With Smoky you'll have to use it until Colonel rank, and it won't do much in the Lieutenant+ ranks. Smoky gets good at M2- I mean really good. And Smoky M1 isn't that expensive- only 11,000 crystals. So you can simply upgrade to M2 Smoky once you reach a higher rank if you feel like doing so. Right now your crystal income sucks. It'll get better as you rank so don't worry. Right now you should go for Crystal boxes in my opinion . .. you earn more from them then the Battle fund. Lol. However, don't be a Mult and just aim for those. Help your team at the same time. :)

The easiest way in my opinion to earn Experience points and Crystals would be to use a light hull and isida. All you need to do is heal and go for Crystal boxes. Oh and it's not bad on the offensive either. Light hulls would include Wasp and Hornet. However at M0 stages you'd better stick with Hornet. The speeds are nearly the same, but Wasp has too little health at that point. I'd suggest that if you don't find Isida a boring gameplay. Isida's a teamplayer. Don't reject injured teammates. Heal them. ;)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you like Close-combat then I'd suggest Isida or Freeze. Firebird can be an interesting yet effective weapon, but the reload is quite slow so you'll have to divide your fuel into proportions and all if you want to be as effective as possible. Isida and Freeze are both very easy to use. Using Light hulls I recommend Isida. Anything else I'd recommend Freeze.  Freeze's frozen effect is a killer. You'll be a good flag-defender and yet a prestigious attacker. It's great for stopping druggers which have been exploding in population these days.

Thunder is really strong in the low ranks. However, it loses its dominant power at higher ranks for everyone will have Thunder-paints on.

For Railgun sure it dishes out massive damage, but the reload sucks and you'll get kill-stolen. So you have to either aim for light-hulls, kill steal, or time your shots right. It takes a lot of time to master, although if you do learn how to use it then you'll be quite good.

Twins. . .well by now I'm sure you've heard that Twins is an OP weapon. Well it sure is, but it gets boring in my opinion. 1-path shots and such redundant progress. Although it can be quite amusing at times when a bunch of M0 hulls are trying to get to you and you just kill them all in like 5 seconds. This fits on anything naturally except for Wasp. If you don't find it boring, then wow you're a better Tankman than I, though then this would be a good choice.

For Ricochet you have to be a fighter with a good eye for his/her environment. Use the Ricochet effect. Say someone is hiding. For the love of Tanki, don't go around the wall and try to shoot at him like a Smoky. Not only will he get a head-start on killing you, but you failed to use Ricochet's effect. Instead, shoot at walls so the shots bounce off the walls and reflect onto him. It's a complex gun that needs practice. It gets good at M2. ;) Or unless you know how to use it then M0-M1 will still be fine. Although I hate it when I concentrate on killing the opponent in style by bouncing balls off walls and some guy steals my kill. <_<

Shaft. . .oh Shaft. :P  Some find it boring, some find it astounding. Usually the most common form of gameplay would be to camp while crippling enemies or 1-shotting light hulls. Nah, you got that wrong. Shaft can steal kills so easy. :(  Not to mention protect the flag. ;) It doesn't have to go on a Mammoth. On a Viking or Titan it's fine.  One strategy is to camp on common crystal-drop spots while sniping. It's like gaining crystals as you survive. Lol. :D  You know in Silence map on the red pipe? Camp next to it with Titan and keep sniping anyone who comes up.

=====================================================================================================================================

I didn't really ''tell you what to buy,'' because you didn't really tell me how you like to play, what you usually play with, or anything about how you think about the weapons yourself. .  . . .Tell me then, what do you prefer? Light Hulls, Balanced hulls, or Heavy Hulls? And what do you like? Close-combat, Medium ranged, or Long-ranged?

Light Hulls: Wasp, Hornet

Medium (Balanced) Hulls: Viking, Dictator, Hunter

Heavy Hulls: Mammoth, Titan, (Dictator)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Short-Ranged weapons: Firebird, Isida, Freeze

Medium Ranged weapons: Thunder, Twins, Ricochet

Long Ranged Weapons (Infinite Ranged): Railgun, Shaft, Smoky, (Thunder)

Omg thanks so much! Im mostly light halls I really like speed.. So I usually go with hornet most of the time :P    If im looking for a little bit more defense with a little speed I usually go viking because hunter has 7 more health at m0 then hornet so its not a big difference  :P For weapons I use almost every time Freeze and Ricochet.. I work extremely well with ricochet and and use the enviroment almost everytime.. If im playing ctf I use freeze.. samething with deathmatch..

Oh ok. I'd suggest pinning up with Freeze/Hornet for now.  Why? Well CTF matches are common. Freeze is one of the absolute best for CTF.

: Buy Hornet M1 if you're really into speed. Then buy Freeze M1. Then go save for Hornet M2 since Freeze M2 is only 4 + damage and 1+ range. Then buy M2 Freeze after M2 Hornet. Then get a good paint. Then save up for Ricochet since you like using it. :)  However, remember to look for sales. Though you might get bored of only a Freeze/Hornet combo. Might think of getting Ricochet to M1 eh?

Don't buy every paint you see by the way. Stay with something cheap but good. If you did the same mistake I did and bought every single low level paint, then you just wasted Crystals. Why? I use like only 1/10 of those lol. Since you're using a light-hull I'd say use Forester. I still use Forester and it's great for surviving Railguns. :D  It's only 500 crystals if I remember. . .

Yep, no need to use Wasp with Freeze. You'll die so fast.

Lol no need to write it down. Besides, sales can change your pace on purchasing.

I usually try to make 750-1,000 Crystals per day. Remember to get Crystal boxes.  And Gold boxes.  I don't include Daily Crystal Bonuses because those rarely happen to me. :(

Though I think now I'll barely earn points/crystals. For me the lag on Tanki has gone up by like 300%. I still have 50-68 FPS, but what happens is the Tanks go spinning and don't stop driving in one way.  I can't even kill an M0 Isida with my M1 Isida.  Unless Tanki fixes this lag I ain't going to be playing a lot. :(
