Update 172 - new maps are already in the game

Original map Platform, which I did, has 24 players, and only one zone in the center of the crystals and goldbox. It changed because the increased earnings of the crystals and is not suitable for the economy of the game. Made 12 players and 6 zone of crystals, worsened the map.  :mellow: I ask them to make at least for 20 players and one zone of crystals and gold in the center.

I see, it really looks like it needs a few more players and crystal drop spots. Nevertheless, its fine this way too :P

Today we've added 3 new maps to the game that were made by the winners of Looking for a Level Designer contest.

After just a short introduction, I'd say Factory is the winner out of the 3!

 

All 3 have beautiful designs with lot's of detail, I'd rather have the oldschool graphics though... all these details distract you from good game play.

   :fire_r:     :tank:   These guys did a great job across the board. Like life, nothing known to mankind will satisfy every one who plays.  A few observations.  Both pro and con, if its pro for one it will be a con for another.

 

•  Those with the bigger M3ammaries , M3 Thunder and M3Twins  will possibly be at a slight disadvantage with all the hills and such. Advantage the medium and smaller tanks with the ability to circumvent them and get them from the rear or side. if you see one get behind him and it's over.

 

•  Faster games and battles with the more adept tanks and many of the enclosures are too small for the big boys toy, little guys stand a chance now to evade, escape and engage.

 

•  Hanging in one place is suicide.   Cuts down on free loaders, mults because things will happen faster to them.  The pace is much quicker here in all three.

 

•  The ominous falloffs off of the height will send those cutsy M3 rails in Wasps clear over the building tops and roads edge. We'll need to invent the Heli-Wasp.

 

•  The kamikaze high speed flag grabbers will need a bit more finesse. Nice obstacles, nice crashes and turnovers.

 

•  Less places to hide, attacks can take place in many and from many angles and dimensions. 

 

•  Au Contraire Mon Ami, It won't be all shaft and rail, I used all my M2's in many configurations to test.  A Smoky2 with a Hornet2 did a lot of damage, so did FIRE, with speed and control in the city

 

•  A Hunter with a Smoky2 or can be lethal. Just more stable on the high tops and the Smoky with double takes out most opponents.

 

​• These maps are definitely more "situational awareness", check your six, and maybe, three, four seven and eight. 

 

•  It will not make the BIG Buffalos happy. Those with the same game plan, game after game in Emerald, a big herd of following Isida's charging in blowing everyone away, just tie up the entire game with themselves,  M3 and M3 and love their status but can you spell Big TARGET? This breaks up the same scenario every game.

 

• There are many access points here, no more gangs of Isida's and Freeze canons tying up the one ramp in Silence and no one else gets a play till they get clobbered and then the whole team suffers.

 

• Tough courses means less use of the Nitro. You don't need it to go ten feet to kill or be killed.

• The scenery or change of scenery looks great.

 

All in all I think they did a great job, and they should be given the Order of Lenin , a rebuilt T-34 w/V-12 and 500 HP, to solve local traffic patterns in their home town and at least one good bottle of Finnish ooops Russian Vodka

 

The new maps do revitalize things, don't need gimmick tank junk to be successful, just challenges...

i take gold box in Future

i saw gold box in Future and in Factory today ;). The boy who caught it in Future nearly didnt noticed that the gold box is above him :lol: . And in Factory I was closely to it :(.

 

I thing Future is the best, Factory is good and Platform is interesting (but dont like it)

" So, the best map of English Community is "Labyrinth" made by 6Warlock9. The map looks simple at first glance. However, the gameplay experience it provides is exciting and intense. A perfect map for short-range weapons.
