My belated Introduction

 Share

Recommended Posts

Just days ago I read an excellent introduction by my new acquaintance @jamester69 and was humbled by it, realizing that I never took the time to properly introduce myself to you all :)

I know a lot of you already, more or less, and you're a great bunch! No need to welcome me, I've been around for a month or two, although that's nothing compared to some of those old-timer veterans.

I'm not a secretive person and I don't care about sharing things about myself (but don't ask me for my phone number), so here goes:

My name is Ilia (pronounced i-lee-ya) and I'll be 21 in December. I was born in Ukraine (both parents are Ukrainian) and lived there for a few years, but fortunately my mom loved traveling, so very soon I found myself in new countries, learning English a lot faster than my mother tongue, which is Russian. To this day I'm an expat, living and volunteering in Bosnia (an eastern-European Balkan country in post-war state). I've lived here for over 6 years in total, and now speak Yugoslavian as well. I love volunteer work, helping people, making people happy and all that good stuff.

I finished primary school within the Russian system as well as completed 7 years of music school, but went on to finish Cambridge college (cause I didn't like the Russian system). I then studied Graphic Design in Moscow, and is what I love to do.

My favorite hobbies are Photography and Snowboarding, and I do freelance Webdesign for a living. I play all kinds of instruments and sing and generally "think music". I like to cook, roller-blade, play Tanki and of course do my volunteer work.

I've registered in Tanki over a year or even two ago (thanks to my best friend @michael_forsage, but I don't know when exactly, since the forums say 15 Sep 2012. My favorite combo is Hornet+Rail (user to be Dictator, but M2 is really not worth it), and I like playing midfield/support. I am the founder of Team Archangels, and I have a lot of faith in the future of my team, though it will take a lot of time and effort. I will also be changing my name soon, to be simpler, more themed and more memorable. So if fool4krist disappears and a new smarty-pants appears in his place, you know what happened.

Thanks for reading, and see you in the fields of battle.

WOW, thanks for the "shout out". i really appreciated reading your intro. You are a very busy person i see,  The work you are doing is a very noble thing to be doing. We should all live everyday trying to be a better person than we were the day before. The world is a very cold and ugly place and Life is so very short. Everyone should make it their personal goal to attempt to Leave This World a better place than it was when you got here. You are a fine example of  Being "That Light" (blessing) in someone else's life. Im glad our paths have crossed, as well as Greatful for your friendship.

It's a Portrait photographer's job to set up nice shots, of adults and children alike, and make pictures that will be remembered for a lifetime. That's what we're payed for. This particular set I did for free, because they are the children of my very good friend, and I am like their older brother.

How do you use your time? Play Tanki all day and watch TV? I think working as a volunteer and developing my talents as often is possible is abetter way to spend my time than 80% of the world's population does.

Your photography is amazing *_*

Thank you, I'm flattered.

Interesting indeed.

I'll take that as a Selena-like complement. So thank you.

Outstanding introduction!

I love your photography; what camera('s)/lens(es) do you use?

Ty. Just got my camera months ago (a long-awaited dream), so for now I'm stuck with the D3100 and the kit lens 18-55mm f3.5 . As soon as I can I'll get a prime 50mm with at least f1.8 :D

Wow! You sound like the coolest guy ever. Just a couple questions:

1. How is it in Yugoslavia (don't know the new names), because I had family who spent time there?

2. Why did you choose the name fool4krist originally?
