today i was browsing skype and there was one of my friends. sometimes we play PS together in his home, on a couch. i called him via skype and what i saw is what i will never forget. behind him there was his dog on a couch "playing" with his pillow.

There are people that share their skype pnly to people they know in real life (for example me, only my two friends from school know my skype and nobody else. this is because i don't want to have anything with total strangers)

Why don't you want to have anything with strangers? And if so, then how can you participate in any tournament that requires communication?

I personally agree with the OP to a certain extent. Though Skype is very useful for organising battles and the like, I know the feeling of being unable to use Skype, and being felt very limited by boundaries. I feel that Skype should be encouraged to be used, but not a must-have application. Particularly for contests where you have to talk often with those who you have never heard of before. I always find it uncomfortable to talk to those on Skype, or add strangers of whom I have never known, even on the Internet world.

If i want to apply for solo tournaments rail, thunder and so on, why do i need skype? If i had tankionline.com under my property i would order player to have at least 100 stupid and not needed programs. Why do you think i play this? Cuz i have no real friends and i'm stuck in a virtual life in here. Why do we have chat in the lobby in ALL servers? to comunicate? so why should i have skype? it's unnecessary becouse i have no friends. i want to play this game without stupid Skype. you say the time and date and if i applied i will come. if i don't come, you disqualify me. "if you want to apply to our tournament, show us your veggie garden and a picture of you hugging the tree" WTH?

If i wanted skype i would install it without you. Make this fair. how can i have some real friends if im allways here or on my work????????????????????? I had enough of talking with people, let's fight without consequences. Bad english, bad bad english. Soory.

I don't know why you feel the need to admit on a public forum that you 'have no real friends' - or what that has to do with the tournament being fair.

 

Plus you don't 'have to have friends' to use Skype, you could use it only for Tanki.

You could create a Skype account just for Tanki and not include any of your personal info. I wouldn't want my name and where I live shared all over the net with total strangers either.

I barely have any friends in Englnad and I rarely hang out with them. Which is why I am desparate to go to Latvia. There I'd be Like A Boss B)

 

 

skype is lame and stupid don't use it. its laggy you get spammed all sorts of bad things, and bugs where it messes up your PC

Skype might be giving lag, but it's certainly not lame!

Doesn't matter. Skype isn't a cheating device. You could probably 'gain advantage' if you play after a full night of sleep vs playing after having been awake for 13 hours, but that doesn't make it 'cheating' either. I don't know what your point is other than whining, or what your 'lack of friends' has to do with Skype anyway. Just create a dedicated Skype account only for Tanki - wup de doo.

It's not that hard to just create a 2nd Skype account only for Tanki, if you don't want strangers seeing your photos or personal info.

With skype, it is easier to communicate and know when others are online.

Skype is most useful to chat with your opponent than PM'ing on the forum.
