Recently I've been noticing that in a large chunk of TankiOnline related photoshop works the Background takes the most dominant role in enhancing the beauty of the final result. These resource images are acquired free from the internet and the user has no involvement in creating that. Tanki's own elements such as Tanks, boxes, prop seems to be added only for the sake of relating the image to the game and it's comparing to the rest of the image it's effect is tiny.  Hopefully as we become more and more experienced in PS- our works will look much better with our own skills taking place as the most influencing element.

now i know where the paint picasso comes from.

Wait no this is better.

Maybe its better if they add the Pittermann paint .  :)

What do you mean? The paint of the Wiking+Firebird is Inferno, the one of the Dictator+Shaft is Dead.

But you're right, they should add the paint Pittermann. B)

Making things from the game fit into a real image is hard and is more than just a simple copy-paste action. You need to adjust both the image and the items you insert into it so they would fit together well, you need to add details to it and do many other things. So making such an image does require both time and experience and it does involve creativity.

While it does require basic Photoshop skill, making the background by oneself requires more time, experience, and more creativity.

Not only that, but here on this forum credit is seldom given to the real makers of the artwork.

And as shade said, in most images posted here the background makes up the majority of the artwork, and that is the part which the forum member did not make.

I just wanted to ask if the lighting on the tank looks alright?

No. Create a clipping mask and turn it to overlay. Then use a small soft brush.
