The colour you used, is very realistic and fine, i think.

 

IMO, you could do something on the alphabets. This 'Tanki' above is very nice and i think the '2016 new year' on the bottom, you could do something similar (snow, 3d and so on) effects.

The way you color is wrong. You should not color your drawing in every direction, pick just one or at least do cross (X).

 

Example: -> click here <-

As you can see, trunk and branches are colored in one direction (vertical one), while the tree crown is having different colors to better express leaves. Your tree crown is colored little bit from right, little bit from up and down, then from left... Same as your grass. That's not good. You need to practice it.

 

You can draw well, but coloring is a small problem. Try to use the tip I gave to you and then see the difference.

 

And yeah, good luck with getting new color pencils :) Keep up the great work!

@Yoshi, I love your imagination when it comes to art, but you gotta do what Mia posted, or else it looks.. well, bad. Don't take it personally, just do any advice anyone gives you, and you can become anything you want one day. Keep up the great work.

Yeah, I tried it :P As you told, I tried different colours for leaves (only 2, cuz i didnt have more) and i tried never to cross or do some randome colour-lines. Nothing thats related to Tanki, but i like the charakter :D

 

 

I'm still trying on onother papers some different uses and i hope it looks better :)

Wow great improvement! :lol: Just a suggestion maybe try pressing harder and making the pencil strokes closer together to to fill more white spaces when you colour it tends to make it more realistic, but i really like the cracks on the ground it looks awesome! BTW thanks for the suggestion for my postcard entry :)

Now that's what I'm talking about. Compare your first tree with the second (newer) one that you made. Huge difference, right?

 

Now one more thing... Shadows. You don't color them like you color other things. You SHADE them. I suggest using your own finger. You can either apply some color and then rub it with your finger until you get it to look like this (third one) > click here <, or you can simply sharpen your pencil a bit, and apply black leftover where the shadow should be (this is much easier way).

Eeeee, my school notebooks were made of 90% drawings and 10% text, so in the end I had to carry a book especially for drawings. This one I made at school - staring at my left hand keeping a pen and drawing with right one :) That's how bored I used to get :P So I totally understand you.
