Is Thunder really that bad at higher ranks

I never said I suck, I just mean it's very hard to be good with it when all of the other guns are so much better. Your just really cocky, I bet half the stuff you said is bs. I was just like you when I got thunder m3, cocky, I thought the gun was awesome, and It was!!!! For like 1 week, then I got hit by something, reality.

All the guns are good if you know how to use them.  I guess you just don't know how to use it.

 

Do I think it's the strongest M3?  Absolutely not, that would be smoky, twins and firebird.  But Thunder m3 doesn't suck, especially now that people are getting more and more paints without thunder protection.  If Thunder sucks so bad then how come there is way more emerald rustle, and cedar paints than any other paints?

I'm wondering why everyone thinks thunder m3 is so bad, is it because of the amounts of rustles and emeralds out there (which is decreasing), or the low amount of improvement from m2-m3 (which smoky also has).

and to answer the topic question yes, thunder is that weak at high ranks. It would take a thunder m3 approximately  17.5 seconds to kill a mammoth m3. Wheras a smoky m3 could get 2 criticals in a row, and just like the mammoth is dead.

However, a the second case takes a lot of luck considering the fact that there is only a (8/100)*(8/100)=16/10000=1/625 chance of that happening. Also, don't forget that even if smoky is sometimes more effective at destroying one target, thunder is usually more effective in taking on multiple close targets at once and targets out of your visibility range.

I personally dislike the thunder over most guns because it requires a strong slow hull to defeat other tanks most the time, and any MO M1 M2 M3 all of them require heavier hulls :P well thats just my opinion

evil.kinevil, you just suck that's it. You know, people think that a gun is awesome when they have laernt to use it. Railgun reload is slow, so people dislike it. I play with it a lot, I'm kind of used to the fast reload, and I feel it's pretty quick.

How do you know how much high ranks NS are there? <.< I hate it when low rankers go on test server, see different from main server, and think that's what happening at higher ranks.

I think you need to stop questioning his knowledge. Rank does not determine knowledge. For a Sergeant-Major, Vector does know what he's talking about.

Yo...whoever has any doubt about thunder, just PM me for a 1vs1 battle. All turrets and hulls in the game can become 'the best' if used properly. Every map gives adv to a certain type of tank and disadv to others. It is therefore in your judgement to see what's best for the battle you choosed to fight. I myself say that ricoshet is useless, but that's because i dont like the game style that fits a ricoshet....so i guess those of you who say thunder is useless, you just dont like (or don't know) its fighting style OR you need an excuse to not buy it cause its expensive.

To sum up, there is no best turret or hull or even a best combo. Every map and type of battle requires the right combo of turret and hull to be succesfull in it.Therefore the most important thing in Tanki is not your tank, but its user! Peace out.

Thunder is AWESOME. With Wasp, with Viking, Mammoth.....
I only have Thunder M2 but even now I still think it is good. (also against Generalissimos)
So to answer your question: NO it is not bad at the higher ranks. Of course there are people that say it is bad, but either they just don't really know how to use it or they don't like the gun.

You need to remember that although thunder's firing may increase, so will other weapons get better.

Without protective paints Thunder is deathly. In standard battles Thunder is still good, but you have to struggle to get the same effect on the battle that you would easily have with freeze, smoky etc...  if you are not epic with it.

And again, other parts of other weapons AND hulls will be increased.  Listen, if smoky's firing rate is increased 50% and a hull's armour is increased 50% then you won't have much difference.

 

HOWEVER, what I think is that MU will be terrible because of the unbalance it will bring.We will have tanks going incredibly fast yet with no health and easily killable, or weapons shooting quickly not doing much damage, it just feels unbalanced.

Nice job, but unfortunately this does little to prove your point of thunder being good at HIGH ranks.
