A "Welcoming/Exiting Gates" section

Lately, I've noticed a lot of people make threads to say they're back after a year or they're going to be inactive for a few days due to holidays and the like. Why not have a section totally devoted to that, eh? We could use this section for new dude(ttes) to introduce themselves as well. That way, they can get to know other members and obtain the Tanki social life they once may not have had. Staff could also make threads explaining why they retired/taking a break/etc. That's if they wanted to make a speech of some sort.

"Welcoming/Exiting Gates" was the first thing I thought of but of course, the name can be different.

From what I saw, the last post was in 2012; not good enough

 

EDIT: My stupid phone decided to act up on me; I can see it's later than that now.

 

Even so, using one thread for something as big as an introduction just doesn't seem right for me. Having a section devoted to that rather than one thread would be better.

The idea is kinda good, it will prevent those topics that pop up every day in different sections, General or Offtopic.

That way everything will be in one place, not splitted through the whole forum

yeah that could be good. And a section only for guides made by players and staff. I am still new and its becaming pain to find good guides. It would be realy helpful if we can get all guide at one place.

Well, there is gameplay section, which contains things about every hulls and turrets and maps and all that. There were few guides, no idea why they didn't move it in gameplay section, probably the guides weren't bumped.

I've seen several forums use an introductions topic as an actual section, and that works pretty good, so a great idea :)

 

Some even have community sections, which are devided in;

Movies and TV, sports bar (stuff about sport), Homework help, Advice and problems (related to real life), ünd a Computer tech forum; for example.

 

Now I'm not sure whether these things will all work on a game forum like this one.

Though I would like to see a community section like that here.

I'm going to be leaving soon... This game had taken 1 year of my life. Time when I could have spent studying, time when I could have been with friends, time when I could enjoy life.
