Hall of Fame

As many of you may know, years back there use to be something in tanki called the hall of fame, which would rank every player on tanki. It was removed for some unknown reason (maybe technical issues), but the rating system is still in place. I personally would love to have the hall of fame returned though, as I'm sure many people would like to see the tanki rankings and the criteria used to rate tank players (D/L ratio, crystals collected, exp). If the hall of fame is no longer technically feasible because of the sheer number of tank players now, or for any other reason, then I would be in support of allowing each player to see their personal rating criteria (D/L ratio, crystals collected, exp). Share your opinions regarding this here, and hopefully many people will support this idea.

As far as I've heard, it used to make the game lag A LOT.

You can ask the administration to add it back if you post on feedback site and get "thumbs up" about your idea.

Tanki is a competitive game since players and teams are 'fighting' for (in this case) who will get most crystals. Therefore, a hall of fame would be a great addition. Also another similar idea was presented by a friend (fool4krist), who suggested a system that could keep at least the personal stats from a player or even a team.

That kind of ideas would be awesome to be implemented on the actual game, but i think that would require a large database, which of course would cause a lot of lags. So at least on my behalf, as long as Tanki is a browser game, such adjustments would only cause more lags to the game.

I think the reason they removed the Hall of Fame was because people were making accounts with funny names and earned 0xp on them. That would mean that they would al be tied at the bottom and it might be glitchy.

They lagged so much, they barely can't play the game. So they removed it.

 

 

Why not put 20 member per pages to reduce lags.

The lag problems could probably be fixed either by changing the format of the hall of fame, or by just showing you your own personal stats instead of everyone's.

That is correct, but I'm not really interested in other people's statistics, just my own. Why won't they show it?!

A modified version of Hall of Fame is planned with the new interface. So there's no point to suggest it again here or on Feedback.
