A variety of game modes exists in the game, game modes affects not only the objective of the game but also the playstyle of players.

 

There are currently four game modes in Tanki Online:

1. CTF - Capture the Flag

Players are divided into 2 teams, the goal is to capture the enemy’s flag and prevent the opposing team from capturing your own flag. If you take the flag and then get killed, you lose it. However, your teammates can retake it and continue. If the flag is touched by enemy’s tank, it automatically returns to their base. It works the same with your team’s flag. To capture the flag you need to take enemy’s flag and bring it to your flag which should be at your base at the moment. In order to win your team needs to capture more flags till the battle is over or be the first to capture a number of flags specified in battle settings. The amount of crystals you get is based on how many flags you captured and how many enemy tanks you destroyed. 

 

 

2. TDM - Team Deathmatch

It’s really easy to play TDM. Battle mechanics are very similar to Deathmatch mode, the only difference is that here players work in teams. The goal is to destroy more tanks then the opposing team. TDM games are limited by either number of flags or time.

Every team member is responsible for the result as the battle’s final score depends on how well and carefully they play. Team gets 1 point for every destroyed tank while player gets 10 XP points. In case of self-destruction the opposing team doesn’t get any point which is also an important factor of this game mode.

 
 
3. DM - Deathmatch

In Deathmatch everything depends on you, unlike in team battle modes. The battle fund grows a lot faster than in CTF and DM, as you don’t need to go to a certain position to find enemies, they are everywhere. On most maps you can open fire right from your spawn point. Deathmatch is the simplest and the most reliable battle mode when it comes to earning crystals. The battle can be limited by either time or number of kills (frags). Each frag gives exactly 10 points.

Also, Deathmatch is the only battle mode where you are allowed to form alliances with other players. In other ballte modes it may result in severe punishments.

 
 
4. CP - Control Point

Teams fight for control over certain points on the map. A team gets points for every second they control a point. The more points captured, the more points the team gets. The winner is the team with the most points. Teams’ spawn points are the points that they are currently controlling, that’s why CP battles are always very intense. In addition each team has a base. It works as a spawn point in case if a team isn’t controlling any points (for example at the start of the game). Killed player appears at a point closest to the place of his or her death. However, if the point is being captured by other team’s players and they have more tanks there, team respawns at this point are blocked.

Deatmatches is the only game mod that give you what you disarve...

Great mod..

Regardless of game modes, drugging Russian buyers always get on top  -_-

However, DM can a bit stressful, especially with the wrong combination.

Not as stressful as in CTF where the enemy is 1 flag from winning...

 

(of course, that is nowhere as stressful as when "gold box will be dropped soon" appears at the top of your screen :P)

I hate it when I join a team 1 flag from losing in hopes of helping them or if one of my friends there, and when it loads I see the flag icon for my team flashing. That's when I realize why there was suddenly an empty space.

I Prefer Dm's Cause In The Ctf I End Up Drugging More Than I'll Recieve :P

In CTF it involves some luck... In kungur when a drugging hornet is about to cap the last flag, I shot him from the other side and he flipped inches away from the base! What happened next was near miracle, I returned our flag, took enemy flag and won the match  :o

This definitely is worth quoting. . .  I know how happy we will be when something like this happens!! :D
