Why it is forbidden to publicly discuss moderation.

Why do you want to reply to a post that has no relevance to anything at this date? It's the same as flooding and spamming, just with a title of its own.

The only flooding you'll get is that people will keep on making new topics about it and bans for this are just unreasonable. What is wrong with old threads?! U all nerds dont get that only cause something's old doesn't mean it's not something that you should just abandon!

Necro posting is about posting on old threads that are either pointless or have no relevance for the present time.

Bumping a meaningful thread that applies to the current state of the game/forums and warrants a genuine discussion is fine, you will not get punished for it, and I've done it plenty of times.

Right but that's stupid. I thibk all useless posts should be removed and be against the rules. Forum is here not to post crap but to discuss serious things. So instead of no necro posting there should be a rule that all usless post are forbidden.

Some old posts contain useful info - I frequently find myself in old threads to discover Tanki's history, or compare old sales to new sales - identify past issues, and the changes that were implemented - this is not useless content, it's just outdated, posting in reply would still be necroposting.

Archive subforums which appeared recently will probably be used for old topics, who haven't got replies for atleast 2 months, Devs are trying to make the archiving process automatic. If this happens, necroposting problem should be solved.

And how's this related to the votes thing?

You said already that some players were abusing the vote system, which was why votes were later disabled on mods' posts. When the vote's system was first introduced, I'm pretty sure everyone knew that this would cause problems. You're supporting the fact that some players would down-vote posts made by moderators, and apparently you can't handle that?

Why do you think I'm angry? And how was I rude?

I don't think your necessarily angry or rude. That was quoted from an FAQ.

Of course those who want can still ask and repeat 'why votes aren't enabled for mods' even after getting many answers, including yours.

Ok, I think I understand now. Votes on moderators aren't enabled because some moderators "cannot handle a small, red box at the end of their posts."

FBI upvoted this post, so it has official support from him, right? If so, it's great to see that mods are agreeing with some of the points that players are making.

Or maybe his finger slipped when he was pressing the dowvote button

Might be great, but too bad moderators can't do anything (or maybe only a little) to change the rules.

Does Semyon listen more to individual mods or to individual players? Or does he hear them out equally?

Equally of course. If both mods and players agree on the voting feature, it will be brought back to the English forum. As long as players don't abuse it, it will be on.

Dear players.

Thank you for taking part in the discussion. As we see, the best option is to enable the voting feature in the forum. We will see if it is possible to do that only in the EN forum and discuss it with all the mods.

If it is feasible and everyone agrees, it will be done and players will get an ability to effectively evaluate the work of moderators and other staff members.
