Why it is forbidden to publicly discuss moderation.

For the last time can we agree that:

English community ≠ Russian community

I can list a hundred things that are different between the two communities and why they should be treated differently, even if a little. Semyon agrees and he said if it's possible to activate the feature just for the English moderators then he will look into it.

For the last time can we agree that:

English community =/= Russian community

Of course, what I meant was just if the vote worked one way there, I believe there's a small chance it will work the same way here.

Semyon agrees and he said if it's possible to activate the feature just for the English moderators then he will look into it.

(nod) I also said it would be good to give it a try.

So basically you think every player here is over 16.

So, what you think is Tanki is saying you have to be 16+ but people will get offended by a red box because they are under 16, so let's remove it?

Like Tanki is fooling itsself

*ahem* Yes or no? If no, why not?  ^_^

You give a valid point, but we don't know the amount of immature people in the English community that could become anti-mod trolls after a ban. But we could see the votes of the legitimately helpful players.

But my main question is if a mod seems to be seriously despised by the English community according to legitimate votes, would anything happen or be done? Or would the administration just assume that the mod did nothing wrong and blame all the votes on players angry over their bans?

You may not know but all our actions (edit/delete/rename, etc.) are logged and those logs can be checked by the forum admins anytime. Same for our posts. So they can't just assume if we did something wrong or not - they check us when necessary, then draw the conclusions.

So hypothetically, if you found a fellow mod that you've become very good friends with to be corrupt and making bans unreasonably, would you hesitate to say something even if they could become angry or lose their job?

If you truthfully say no, then good, I'll take back my last statement.

My opinion doesn't matter. In cases of abusing powers tech support runs a check..And they don't have friends to support.

Tech support? Well you could've told me that earlier. :D

EDIT:

Wait, did you just insult tech support?

I was lazy to write 10 sentences, that's why I wrote a short one. Excuse me.

No comment since you'll start arguing again and we'll fill 1 more page.

Ok

You were too lazy? I thought you were a consultant. Your job is to answer all questions from the community. ._.

Again, what's wrong with arguing? ;z It's fun.

I think that those quotes avoid the point, in my opinion the question should be asked "Why were all the mods' posts getting downvoted even when they were correct?" But hey, my opinion.

"If you have decided to apply to be either a Chat or Forum Moderator, you should be aware that it's a huge responsibility. And you are strictly

recommended not to apply if you can't handle that responsibility."

"To be a Consultant, you should be passionate about helping others and you should be very unselfish. Also, you should not get angry easily and you

should not be rude to others, even if you are asked the same thing 1000 times."

Not sure why he keeps thinking that we are arguing. Happened here, too.

Hey, FBI, maybe you should re-read this, eh? If you disagree with my insinuation, I'd suggest you start deleting some posts.

But I'm not obliged to write 10 sentences for something that can be answered with 1

Sure, and I suppose you even have the answer to that question?

"If you have decided to apply to be either a Chat or Forum Moderator, you should be aware that it's a huge responsibility. And you are strictly

recommended not to apply if you can't handle that responsibility."

And how's this related to the votes thing?

"To be a Consultant, you should be passionate about helping others

In this thread noone asks for help. They just keep asking the same things, when I answer, start repeating again. For example if you have a different opinion from skit's one, he'll keep pushing till you give up. There's nothing I can help with here.

Also, you should not get angry easily and you

should not be rude to others, even if you are asked the same thing 1000 times."

Why do you think I'm angry? And how was I rude?

Not sure why he keeps thinking that we are arguing. Happened here, too.

We all have our opinions.

If you disagree with my insinuation, I'd suggest you start deleting some posts.

If that's what you'd do..then bad for you.

Please let's all stay on topic if we want this thread to be open and continue the discussion.

Yep, I'll drop it here, pointless to continue anyway.

Of course those who want can still ask and repeat 'why votes aren't enabled for mods' even after getting many answers, including yours.

I know Semyon's answer, but how would we know when the English community becomes ready? There's no way we could find a way to completely remove all trolls and immature players from the forum.

Then it's about mods being ready for trolls and immature players. This thing should be discussed with all the mods.

I personally agree with all the rules, and have never had issues with Moderation.

Thej explain to me why there is necroposting rule? What's wrong with necroposting I don't get it! According to what I read before that's just stupid!

Why do you want to reply to a post that has no relevance to anything at this date? It's the same as flooding and spamming, just with a title of its own.
