Any posts made in the "Forum Games" section should not be put toward your total post count

First of all, I'd like to say thanks to AdvocatusDiaboli for reminding me of this idea. See, on another forum I went to before I was here, in the "Village Games" section, posts never went toward your total post count. This is because a lot of spam threads (not necessarily spamming of threads but threads that required you to post a lot) were often made. I'm aware that it says that you could get banned for spamming in that very section BUT people who do spam often get away with PLUS there's a loophole in that rule itself.

Still, i think it should be counted, people actually waste time and go and write there and post, the sun doesn't stop when they go to "forum games" section, it would be kind of annoying if it's not counted.

It would be fair to people who only post to help and discuss, Right now if I want to get 100+ posts a day the only way to do that is to go to the forum games section

Does the post count really matter? so every post made by the members should be a post to either help or explain something? this forum is for fun too and remember what tanki says

"tired of a hard battle ? go to the forum and relax with other players"

it does in some cases, for example in reputation.. If someone looks your profile and sees just forum game posts I think he would start to think that you havn't got anything else to do.

A post count is not just a number.

  • It shows how experienced a user is.
  • A person with 10 posts will not be taken as seriously as say one with 4000.
  • Therefore it shows how much experience a user has
  • It is the only way to know how "serious" a person is in his statements because there is nothing else to see on the forum except his rank.
  • It shows how dedicated a person is to the forum.
  • It gives an idea of the vast experience the user has had during his time in the game and forum.
  • It shows how epic a person is.

Increasing a post count just for the sake of it is called trolling and flooding; gets you banned; posting in forum games for the sake of just increasing your post count makes a forum game go severely off-topic; it ruins the fun in them.

Well, if he wants to post in Game section then let him post? and if a person search his posts he will find out that he loves games? where's the problem about that.

Also if you see a post count by a player who has like 3 post in games three posts in helping, this just gives me the idea this player is really active and talented, not "less experience" then any other player, etc.

No one cares about where the guy is posting though, everyone looks at post count;

a game lover with 400 Post --Respect he's making the forum active

a helper with 400 Post - Double respect for making the forum active and helping other people

get it? nothing needs to be "NOT counted" etc, it's all part of the forum, they are making a whole section alive, why should we stop counting their posts for that!

i disagree with advo, and completely respect his opinion as it's my own, even if the players who post at Games section copy what they say, they make our forum more active.

What happens in forum games, should stay in forum games. It's alright if you think otherwise ~ Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
