No, you have to buy all the previous upgrades first. The only exception is if you are buying the item in a kit.

There will most likely be a 50% sale on Tanki's Birthday (4th of June), so you might actually want to save your crystals for then. Although don't take my word for granted - I don't actually know if there will be a 50% sale then.

btw- I`m planning on buying paint, I tought about corosion. What do  you think about it and what would you recommend?

I'd not go for Corrosion. Try not to buy too many of the low priced paints. Their protection isn't good/big enough to face high ranked players. When you achieve higher ranks, you won't use the cheaper paints in battles anymore. So I'd recommend you to postpone buying paints as long as possible in order to be able to buy stronger, better paints once you've unlocked them. 

 

In my opinion it's worth buying paints that unlock at the rank of or higher. :)

Sandstone is worthless unless you throw huge amount of crystals into MUs. Take rustle instead.

In order to be able to play clan wars, you must be a member of a clan.
