^That. And why are you talking like I'm not here? Also, with some of these I'm pushed for time, I usually have about 10 - 15 to do in a few days, so I can't make each of them great. I'm also completely self taught. That's a gradient flare btw :P

It would take me around 10 minutes to make a decent sig, and gimp and photoshop are almost exactly the same, other then photoshop having a few more extra features.

^A lot of trial and error, and doing small adjustments until it looked about right.

You weren't criticising then, just saying that you can do things in 10 mins, which is not useful in any way. I don't really care how long it takes you, and the way you give your criticism is not great.

Sorry, IK that wasn't a very helpful answer. I took a shot of the side of the hornet isi in tank viewer, then got rid of the background, and adjusted the contrast and brightness until it was black. I then selected the colour of the snow where the shadow is on the right to get the blue colour, and the turned it blue. The opacity is 70%. I rotated it 90 degrees and then put it next to the pic of the tank, and used the scaling and perspective tools to make sure it was the right length. The shadow layer is underneath the tank layer and actually continues a bit underneath it to make sure there is no gap between them. If I remember correctly, I also airbrushed bits around the top of the shadow to make it look the right shape. As I said, the scaling and perspective bit was just trial and error till I got it looking right.

how exactly did u do the shadow.. as in the opacity and the prespective to match up? when i do it, its always as if the isida got went through a mammy squishing :p

if you use the Photoshop then here is the answer.

below the image layer(image you want the Shadow) create new layer.select new layer. then press d and then hold the Ctrl button and click the image layer. it will selection on the image. then press alt+backspace button. and then press Ctrl+d. it will deselect image selection. OK now go to edit > transform> distort and now make shadow as you want in any direction. this is total black shadow so go to filter > blur> guasian blur and chose value in between 1.1- 2.1. now make opecity to 60 of the selected shadow layer. your shadow is ready. I hope it works.
