the upgrades are very expensive especially the m3's I find upgrade railgun already expensive actually Isida al

If railgun M3 is expensive, why do you care? You can't get railgun M1 right now, due to rank, M3 is a long way until General. And if you ever made it to there, you will earn crystals quickly enough to have the crystals needed for M3 weapons. So, go on, don't bother thinking about M3s.

They are seemingly expensive, but a rank limit is there too. The rank limits allow players to, when they get to a certain rank and the m3 modification of a turret/hull is unlocked, purchase the item if they have saved crystals. Don't worry, there's a long way to go, even for my rank, to get an m3 :(

Not long way, 2 ranks until first 2 M3s unlock.

Updates are not expensive. You just have to spend your crystals in a clever way, like not getting stuffs you are not going to use in future. Just focus on 1-2 combos and by the time you reach that rank you will be able to get the next upgrade.
