Hello dear friends. In this article, I will give you tips on catching a Gold Box in Polygon DM. After all, even if most of us don't need those 1000 crystals, during classic battles, everyone tries to get it. Why? Because we all want some honor. Half of the players will rage about not getting the Gold Box, and they won't forget you soon! This article should help you to get a Gold Box. And remember, this is my opinion - you are free to think the opposite!

I. Hulls

 1- Mammoth 

Its size will allow you to have great chances to get the Gold Box compared to smaller hulls, while the 80 extra health points will give you a big advantage compared to Titan.

 2- Dictator 

 

Dictator's large and high shape is an asset, and the speed difference with Hunter won't make the difference between catching or not the Gold Box. Dictator's stats are really amazing.

 

 3- Hornet 

 

Even if there is a great speed difference between Wasp and Hornet, the stability and minimal extra life will allow you to go through the battlefield and get that that dreamed Gold Box!

 

 

 

II. Weapons

 

 4- Shaft 

 

Er.... Shaft.. Really, you can't use its potential for catching a Gold Box in Polygon DM.

 

 3- Smoky 

 

In this case, Smoky won't help a lot due to its small damages, unless you are lucky, in which case it will be amazing thanks to the critical hit. But, it is not regular, that is why it is third.

 

3- Firebird

 

Due to the long afterburn activation time, you won't have enough time to use the full potential of Firebird, and you may unfreeze frozen tanks, allowing them to get your gold!

 

2- Railgun

 

When you will see the Gold Box, you will be able to shoot only once before that the Gold Box will be taken. You will have to choose the right target, and the huge damage which Railgun creates will change the situation. Just - don't miss.

 

 

2- Isida

 

Even if the range may be too short, the self healing will make the difference between staying alive under the Gold Box and being dead within seconds.

 

 

2- Ricochet

 

As usually, before the Gold Box falls, no one shoot, the reloading time doesn't matter a lot. The range is perfect, but the speed of the balls is too slow, which is a disadvantage, as under pressure, you can't really control yourself as much as usual, and it is harder to anticipate your opponent's reaction.

 

 

1- Twins

 

With a decent power, an adequate range, and the best for the end, an amazing knockback which considerably slows down the opponent, that is one of the most effective weapons in this case.

 

 

1- Thunder

 

The great splash damage, the range, everything is made to give you chances to exterminate everyone and get the Gold Box. You just need to be careful on one thing - self damage.

 

1- Freeze

 

The range and the damage per second are enough, and the freezing effect freezes everyone in your range, allowing you to be under the Gold Box quickly. And that helps you a lot.

 

 

 

III. Paints

 

 Cheap

 

-Jaguar - 13k - 25% Freeze

-Tundra - 35.5k - 30% Railgun

-Cedar - 42.5k - 32% Thunder

-Roger - 42.5k - 30% Twins

 

All those paints are very effective for their price. They are cheap, with a protection around 30% from one popular and deadly weapon, which is great.

 

Medium

 

-Rustle - 90.5k - 32% Thunder + 20% Freeze

-Urban - 115k - 40% Twins + 20% Isida

-Python - 50.5k - 32% Freeze

-Hohloma - 108.5k - 20% Freeze + 20% Ricochet + 22% Smoky

 

For a slighty big price, those paints have very great protection. Around 30% protection from 2 weapons is a good deal.

 

Expensive

 

-Emerald - 143.5k - 42% Thunder + 26% Twins

-Savanna - 129k - 40% Smoky + 20% Railgun

-Inferno - 159k - 40% Freeze + 30% Firebird

-Picasso - 276k - 30% Shaft + 25% Railgun + 20% Thunder + 20% Freeze

 

 

 

 

IV. Tactics

 

Play style

 

First, you can choose to self destruct or not. Most people self destruct. I do, as it allows me to use my supplies after the Gold Box. You can choose to kill the enemies, it will clear the map. However you may become a target too, so the safest thing to do is just. nothing apart from waiting the orange box in the sky. Some people won't self-destruct, will kill others, won't use supplies.. They do as they want. For me, the safest thing to do is self destruct a few seconds after the warning, drug as soon as you reappear, "keep quiet" and once you see the Gold Box, get it for the sake of God!

 

Supplies

 

If you are short in supplies, here is an intelligent way to have as many chances to get the gold as everyone else without wasting your supplies. First, self destruct. When you will respawn, get a double armor and reach a spot. Then, open your eyes. If the Gold Box falls right on you, make sure no one is there push you. Check your health bar, and once it reaches the half, get a First Aid kit to avoid getting shot by a drugging Railgun. If the gold Box is at another place but still reachable, use a nitro, and a double power if you have to clear the zone. Once you get the Gold Box, everyone will shoot you and you will be most likely dead. If you failed, drive backward to a safe place, and have fun with your supplies !
