Where are the new physics, micro-upgrades and other promised goodies

Hello! 

 

Most of you are aware of the new physics model for hulls, why it is being prepared and how it will feel. Many of you even took part in the open testing.

 

We were intending to release the update in the second half of September. However, during the testing we detected certain technical difficulties and realized that the new model of tanks' movement needs some modifications in the physics engine code. Now our programmers are fixing it. At the same time our game designers are tweaking tanks' parameters according to the feedback provided by players during the testing. In short, every hull will feel better and more interesting, and it will happen quite soon.  

 

Together with the new physics, some changes will be made to parameters of certain turrets. Actually, it is just a first step to further changes in balance of the game. Soon we'll tell you about these changes more.

Now about another thing we are all aware of - micro-upgrades.

They are ready but we can't release them without adding the new physics first. The reason is simple, parameters of all the hulls and several turrets will be changed. Micro-upgrades will be adjusted according to these changes. This is an ideal sequence of actions. By the way, together with MUs we'll add a visual effect of ranking up, so everyone in the battle will see when you get your next rank.

 

So, here's the plan - first we release the new physics, and then in about a week MUs (and the rank up effect) are added to the game as well. We are planning to do all of these things in October. Of course the date may change but we are doing our best to make it happen as it is planned.

 

In short, soon we will all be driving extremely nimble Wasps and super powerful Titans!
