I have 135k crystals right now. With 2k from quiz, and 9k from rankup, I can easily reach 150k by Christmas Sale.

 

Railgun m2 is a must for me. If 50% sale, I am thinking of getting Pitbull kit+rail m2. This will leave me broke, but I will also have 4 strong m2 combinations at my rank (hammer hornet, hammer hunter, rail hornet, rail hunter).

 

Or, I could get rail m2+hornet m2, which would leave me with a good amount of crystals after sale (around 60000). I could use this to save up for a strong m2 kit to get sometime before colonel rank.

 

Any advice?

My recommendation.buy pitbull and leave the rail hornet unless u can't rest without xp pitbullbis good enoughnto last till brigadier rank so save for one of the brigadier unlocking m3 kits in order of their names I write from best to worst. Medic,jackhammer,raiden

I'm slightly confused - did they make it so that if you already have an item in an kit, that component's price goes to zero, reducing the price of the kit?

Better idea. Skip the rail hornet crap, get pitbull, and get fire m2 when you get major. I did the xp way and hated it, went pitbull/fire on an alt and loved it.

Might come down to the paint. Both are epic turrets. Firebird is a bit more powerful than Ricochet though, but I can't really judge since I don't have either M3s.

That sounds good, but I'm set on getting rail m2. I can already beat brigadiers with m2 equipment, simply with my m1 bp. I've found that a lot of the lieutenant ranks (even up to major) don't save their crystals properly and focus on getting multiple m2 turrets, while ignoring their hull. Because of this, they have hornet m1 or something. Rail m2 can 1-shot them.

 

Also, I've been considering thunder m2. How good is it at captain/major?

you are going the wrong way.thunder is noob against smoky m2. only go for rail if u want to be xp whole time because what you heard is wrong most hornet users already have it m2 since its the cheapest m2.if any thing get a hammer or fire m2 (if u can meet the ranks). Prometheus vs redneck?

Lumberjack is way above zeus 45% isida is much more useful than 50% smoky in most battles, and the 5% loss on fire and freeze are insignificant.

Vulcans also being common in midrange maps(the target range of the paints) 15% vulcan is a gift.

Buuut if are not upgrading on sale the 50% fire will be very useful if you play vulcan or generally play on the m2 fire ranks...

i swear there is 2 m2 fires for 1 isida in every polygon.

 

I say go with redneck as rico paints are rarer than fire ones, but it comes down to which gameplay you prefer :)
