Let's Discuss Product Kits

Currently, they have 5 sets of kits (they might add more), that rotate every Wednesday after the server update. We don't know if old sets will come back or not, all we know is that they rotate every Wednesday

Thanks! Is it known what is in the sets?

This way Gens cannot upgrade their arsenal because no product kits are available and someone cannot buy a full m3 garage before Gen without spending some $$. So, what you are saying is highly unlikely to happen and many players will leave if this happens.

Hmmm, I had forgotten about the "no kits for Gens" aspect. I wonder then if Tanki would make the kits available to Gens if they make the change to remove individual item purchases. I agree that such a change becomes increasingly unlikely.

The question then becomes what will happen to future discounts and sales? The standard for kits is now 40%. With kits now available on rotation for nearly every imaginable combo, why buy separately? Who will even care about a 25% sale? A 35% sale?

Is Stinger kit worth it? I know that the M1 is terrible, but how big of a jump is M2?

If you can get it while you're WO3 yes, definitely.

it's available at WO4.

I know but I meant at WO3 it would be even better because it'll be op in most battles.

Guys I know you all are fond of all the kits you've ever bought, and so am I,

but still, no one can disagree this was the best buy ever ^^

(Old pic, I know, I had paid 6k to max speed before micro upgrade update hit lol

and They did the great job of giving me an M2 titan before the rank I can even get M1 titan lol)

(Some have seen the pic before, just rebragging lol)

The kits aren't made just for fun - they are a complicated system that help developers maximise sales while also giving players some benefits. The contents of a kit are chosen based on what players are most likely to want to buy, so players making their own kits is a bad idea since it won't help the project. The reason it's always one gun, hull and paint is because that's the type of kit that sells best. Developers did have kits with multiple weapons before (for example the Yin and Yang kit with Mammoth Thunder and Wasp Freeze), but those types of kits were removed because they weren't as popular.

Those beginner kits are still there

In that case, the idea above isn't even valid, because what is being suggested is already in the game :)

Mmmmm, did they remove Pallete kits already?

And you are wrong, Maf, Yin Yang is still there, as it was always, for them low rankers

In my opinion, by far, one of the best kits in tanki is Osaka kit and here is why.

1) Isida M2.....at WO3

2) Hunter M1......The best M1 Hull in game

3) Sakura......Extremely good paint early game 20 protect from hammer and isida 10 protect from vulcan

4) Price only like 75k cheap for all this good.

Your point seems right - why shouldn't they, but it just looks like so. Isida M2 is one of the worst M2 turrets (not worst, but even some M1's are better). Hunter is the best hull - just from stats, but in game it's drifting, harder to control. Sometimes viking is better, as it is stable. Paint? it might be good, but I have had more problems facing M1 fires (fully MUed) on M0 or M1 hornets killing me within seconds or by burning. 50% discount makes it a good deal.

Yes it's OP from WO3 - 3rd lieutenant, but then it starts getting beaten up by other M1's especially M2 rico and twins. If you want to buy something playable till M3 ranks, wait and buy something else. you may be able to get another M2 kit. (and MU it).

IMO there no most OP kit, but I there are some good and some bad. Good - that hull, gun and paint is playable and it's really good - such as Stormbringer (vulcan + zeus OP OP), Atlas (Smoky + Titan with a good short to mid range paint), Fighter (unlock rank, good turret paired with suitable hull - good amount of HP and speed*).

* hunter is good in Predator, but not in Osaka. With isida you need to be able to turn around as fast as possible, minimalizing damage taken (drift makes is hard), but with predator you just need to move around map and be able to run. You never want to be close to your target - taking extra self damage is not a good idea.

I'll beg to differ on this point - on smaller maps (such as Polygon and Sandbox) more health is ideal since you don't need much speed to find and catch opponents. I do agree that drift makes the hull harder to control, making (in my opinion) Wasp and Viking more suitable than Hornet and Hunter.

Osaka, in general, is an M2 Isida kit touted as a replacement for Stinger. It's a lot cheaper, and Hunter might actually be better than Hornet M2 in smaller maps. The paint is arguably more useful as well, unless you want to do XP/BP. Stinger's a kit for large maps, and Osaka is more widely used in small maps.
