People don't want me as a mod or to have any powers

I don't even wanna be staff

And anyways most staff members would be against it -_-

One point that came to my mind is: yes, it's a plausible reason to judge people by their maturity which can differ from age to age (be it older or younger) instead of their age. But now think of this, let's say if a 14 or 15 year old, who indeed are quite mature and behave like a grown up, would get a Mod position in staff...what if players get to know his/her age and on occasion of them correcting a player who's either ignorant of the rules and it's violating them or already knows the rules, if that player is let's say in his 20s or 30s and he knows the Mod helping/correcting him is underage....it could lead to some insulting or offensive behavior  towards the Mod like "Who do you think you are? I'm older than you and you are much younger than me and I'm more mature than you blah blah blah...(possibly leading to some inappropriate language, etc)".... That could be an unpleasant situation for both parties and raise a lot of commotion in chat or forum. IMO

You're definitely right, however, that is also the reason why I only said consultant, not mod.

Consultant, mod or any other staff - it's the same, you have to be mature and responsible.

As for the topic, as I said before, age exceptions (for consultants) may be possible if you have a clean karma, good forum posts, behave well and mature and if you pass the security check. But even then, age can be lowered from 18, for example, to 16. No more.

However getting underaged people is really rare. Yes, it was done years ago (example me, kool). However times and rules were different then, for example kool was the first English mod, so they took him (because they really needed an English mod), without looking so much at age. Same for me, when I became a consultant I wasn't 18 (actually if I remember correctly at that time there wasn't a consultant app or requirements posted anywhere on forum). But at that time there weren't many consultants here (only Nick and husto). They were really needed, so Bruce contacted me and asked if I'd like to become a consultant - that's how it all started. At that time age wasn't important for him, most important was my knowledge and my answers in forum.

Now we have many more consultants, so exceptions almost never happen. However those that think they're good enough are free to apply, if they pass all checks and stuff and only bad thing is someone is, for example 16, he might be given a chance. Good luck.

Since I'm answering for the third time and there's nothing to discuss anymore, I'm closing this.

For changing official application's requirements - I can do nothing about that, if you want you can try PMing that to Semyon, but I doubt anything will happen - firstly, current requirements are good enough and also they probably include legal things, as I said before.
