Hello Tankers, here's your chance to show your poetic prowess!

 

The assignment: Write a poem consisting of at least two four-line stanzas - that's 8 lines of poetry. (Maximum 4 stanzas/16 lines)

 

The theme: The poem must be related to some aspect of Tanki online.

 

The deadline: Entries are accepted until November 25th.

 

The method: Submit your entries via a post in this thread. The earlier you post you submission, the more chance you have of receiving crystals for originality.

 

The reward: First place receives 20 000 crystals, second place - 15 000 crystals, third place - 10 000 crystals.

 

The example:

 

With a hundred Thunders at my back
I drove like mad to find some cover
Those awful beasts won't cut no slack
It'll take me ages to recover

 

Now I sit in my garage

And ponder on my sad defeat

I'll pick a better paint to dodge

Their hateful bullets on the street

 

At last the loading time is done

I stand again before my foes

But now it's clear who will have won

It's time to keep them on their toes

Silence

 

Nowadays, Silence is so overrated

Due to its replay value.

The other maps must feel so darn hated

And at the same time, taboo-ed.

 

Silence is too mainstream

I'll give you that it's prestigious.

But it's succeeded in its scheme

To make other maps piteous.

 

A combo is never out of place in this map,

Something not applicable to the rest

But we've fallen into its horrible trap.

How much longer will it oppress?

 

Silence - the possibilities are endless

You never know what to expect

But I just feel we shouldn't be so senseless

And quickly deem it as perfect

Feel My Life.

 

Ah! I remember those horrible noises here and there,

As if there was a party in the lair.

Started my life here but I felt every soul was in a rush,

Tried to smile but they made a fuss.

 

Horrible things they did to get me up,

Forgot them when they kindly asked me “Hey, Was sup!”

They dumped me on a transporter to get me shipped,

After they had all my parts equipped.

 

Some ball of light I saw when I was let out,

They said “it is called a sun, now move out”.

I was feeling totally blank don’t know why,

Felt better when they dumped into me GPS and WI-FI.

 

Man then I suddenly felt full of Terror,

Was been said to fight without any error.

Now I remember those memories and have fun,

Only because my mate saved me from that railgun.

loomed overhead
The score remaining
hangs on by a thread

Top score's seven grand
I shake in my tank
Will I be able to withstand?

 

Just an hour ago
I was in control
But wait, what's that
Soon drops the gold?

 

My heart pounds, though my drugs hold

I stand in a place, set alone

And down drops the gold, shining bright
Looks like I'm getting m2 tonight

Our Funky Tanki!!

 

Tanki Tanki,Oh what a place!
The game is great like a grace.
Full of fun the game is done,
Can sit in a place without a bun.

Slow killers like smoky and twins there are,
But you never know when stunned you are.
Skinny as wasp, tall as a dictator,
But you know what they are as a terminator.

I hear my teammate say ‘we have fans coming for us’.
I go welcome them, realize it’s actually freeze so I fuss.
I flap my ears to drive off the honey bee,
But see an isida killing better than Bruce lee.

The dragon breathes, I feel as if on a volcano,
I say him I’m your friend so "Hey no".
The only place on Earth where people are allowed to use drugs,
And become more powerful, better than thugs.

That sometimes they forgot sleeping

To find something easily,

Designers is thinking of new ranks

So they can put some new tanks

 

They are punishing illegal

Using cheats ranking up to Marshal,

If you don't breaks the rules, everyone is happy

Then we can all have a party!

Filled with bullies like mammoths and Vikings,
But are useless to go on a hiking.

And nerds like wasps and hornets,
But fast and nightmare for shaft brunettes.
Ugly as shaft, weird as rail gun see you,
Beware you never know when they get you.

Off I go on the moon,
Get stunned seeing "gold box will be dropped soon".
My body starts producing Adrenaline,
I wish it’s the box I win.

Man then I start to quiver,
And when I see myself under the box i shiver.
And then everyone's eyes on me they start me get crushed,
But I ain’t less, put on my drugs and get them brushed!

Shall i compare thee to any other gun ?

Hell no! When it hits you'll feel a stun

If i attack you, you will have to run

When isida attacks, enemy flee

Because no doubt it's power is deadly

I love thee for it's power to kill

Isida will draw a smile on your face

When playing in team games

Whom other then isida heals you from burning flames

It is no good, that's what haters claims

But they will think differently when isida aims

Impossibly hard to kill

To his death that i should thank

I scroll through "Developers' News",

Some interesting topics I see.

They all seem pretty positive,

But there's something behind the scenes.

 

I click, in awe, on "Feedback on Staff",

But arguing's all I see.

The staff try to defend themselves,

But it's improvement, not an attack, us players mean.

 

"Why your opinion matters" is next,

Again, disappointment looms.

We give ideas, but most are ignored,

The topic's sarcastic, I assume.

 

I click the thread on devs' happiness,

I sigh again in disdain,

Just change the forum, rules and mods

Is that too much to ask? No way!

When I go to my garage to pick a weapon

I pick something that fits my style

Something that will frighten

Even a reptile

 

While the battle loads

I think of a secret place to hide

Somewhere that will make my opponents croak like toads

A place that would make my shots collide

 

The other team trembles with fear

As they know not of what will hit them next

They cringe when my laser hits them like a spear

And cries of dismay appear in the text

 

I enjoy my triumph over my foes

They have no clue where their destruction lies

But half the game is keeping them on there toes

As the Railgun is the weapon of the wise

Take the bullet holes which make you suffer

A tankmen's battle may keep getting tougher

You maybe losing but don't be annoyed

Take good aim at the target, so it can be destroyed

 

The weaker your heart the weaker your attack

The enemy maybe strong but it's time for payback

In order to survive you must keep on enduring

If using railgun or shaft kill by your aiming

 

Wounds, cuts its all part of war

That's why you play your part and you be the Savior

You receive your reward only if you succeed

Defeat your enemy and you will exceed

 

One battle has been won, that is not all

Tomorrow come back and be prepared to fall

Not every battle may go your way

To get better you must play Tanki-Online everyday

My history 

 

I joined Tanki on 2011, 

people hacking every battle

i played with people who are uneven

still i earned little by little

 

i got a nice hull, along with a weapon

i got used to it, played with it well

It was a weapon of mass destruction

for my enemies, fighting me was like hell

 

then came the year 2012, where i didn't like at all

I detested the new graphics and rebalance

my glorious times has come to its fall

i didn't even won a match once

 

i wasn't used to the new stats

i still regret buying carelessly

i saw everyone buying mammoth, which is fat

i shot at those tanks hopelessly

 

but now it is 2013, which is better than last year

i got a tank strong enough to survive in matches

i can now battle strong fat tanks who i used to fear

and i was having fun at the forum, chatting too much

 

but currently it is boring, with no fun discussions

i want the discussions to be revived by players

there is only newcomers asking for questions

seriously, will this forum become any better?

 

now it's november, we are close to 2014,

i don't know what is going to happen

hope there is a better event for halloween

and there is some hope for us tankmen
