Are you all Afraid?

I think there is one more problem, that is flooding. People make topics repeated over and over. Or they ask a question over and over again. Maybe if people read maybe the first 5 or 10 pages, they would find the answer to their question. That may be one reason why people think mods are being so harsh/mean is because they are trying to make it so people actually read peoples comments before asking a question that has probably been already asked. So maybe that should turn into some sort of rule, that you have to read some if its too long or most to see if your question has already been answered? That may help some of the floodinggo down, which means less banning people for that reason. What do you guys think?

That's not what I'm talking about. Did you even read the topic? Also, do you know how tedious it is to read 10 pages of random comments?

Because of this, if you do not start doing anything, the forum will die (not that it isn't dead already).

Someone point me to a topic in OTD where there is a vivid discussion (so not just pictures) and people are free to express themselves.

Huh, I guess it died out.

But, that was the sort of the discussion that I think fitted what you asked for. Even if it had nothing to do with Tanki, they were all able to express themselves in a good debate with no trouble w/s/e

Yes, it was a rare example of decent discussion. And it's an on-off thing, so as soon as @Imgoingtowreckyou has time to reply, it'll be fairly active again. Should be more debates in the forum, but clearly we're all too restricted at the moment. At least there have been more controversial, topical discussions recently.

I don't know you; don't mention my name like you know me. (unless you're an alt to someone I know)

Just because I debate a lot doesn't mean I love debating.

Well, you can now see that we don't have any lively topics. This one included now, I guess. Where's the excitement gone?

Perhaps an idea would be to have the main update topic in Developers' News, and one in Off-Topic. The one in off-topic where you don't constantly get people saying "can you stop pointing out the wrong?" because in some cases, those who criticise are indeed the ones who bring change.

Have you considered the fact that there are so many sections/topics etc. that it is hard to find a topic that has what you are looking for? You can try to use the search function, but it doesn't always give you the right results. Then there are titles of some topics that are a bit misleading, or at least not what you expect if you are looking for something.

Then, there is of course what Selena already pointed out: many (sometimes random and a bit useless) posts you have to read through to find what you are looking for, I don't blame people for asking the same questions or making new topics, as long as they are not asking for something too easy to find.

And lastly, not everyone is that smart, shows as many initiative or has perfect English to find the right topics.

YEP...Its easy to spew crap...I invite you to exercise the brain you have and attempt to come with and articulate a reasonable response pertaining to the OP. Can you come up with a thought provoking statement or topic that will engage the masses and not get you banned? ...or just type "aids" and tell the whole world your level of maturity and lack of ability to THINK and speak. I don't mean to be harsh but I am sure you also know how lame your comment is.

I know it does not say anything about what you think, I can see that plain as day. As far as maturity...thats my opinion . Let me ask you this, what is it you think making the comment aids would accomplish?  I do think for my self quite often if you read any post I have put here I would say 90% have a great deal of thought right or wrong I attempted to articulate my thoughts on any particular subject. It is fine you think my comment is crap, but how is it you think I will get banned for what I said to you?

Look man...I don't expect you to agree with or even like me but come on...you know  typing the word aids in this subject is lame and I know you can do better than that. I bet you are probably very smart and can hold your own in conversation. I can't believe "aids" is all you got?

Yay, things finally cooled down!

No it didn't, you just said that because you are AFRAID

Since when has anything died out. People can express them self however the feel. Find this funny because in Canada there is freedom of speech....on here there is jail on speech. I can understand if someone is completely cussing at someone and trolling them but if you find something wrong and are angry at it...such as kits you should be able to show some fustration about it. I think the dev's are afraid if we get freedom of speech they will hear it loud about horrible updates. So dev's "Are you afraid" :P
