I think you misinterpreted me. Basically, I know roughly how much the consultants get paid - I have a few friends who are/have been consultants and I can roughly see from the rate at which you got an m3 combination after being a consultant how much you get paid. Not foolproof but I have a general idea. And in my opinion it's too much for what you do. My opinion. Then again, I believe the same applies to the reporters. That's just my opinion though. I appreciate that you disagree.

Consultants get paid according to the amount of work they do, same like the other parts of the staff. And no, I didn't disagree on anything you said about the pays.

Moderators can ban forever only for scam. And this is absolutely needed and won't be changed, scammers must be taken down immediatly.

But I have seen/heard of some players, not naming. But I know that everyone makes mistakes. But I think Moderators, just as well as all staff have to be EXTRA careful in what they say. Even if it is on Skype, or any other messenger on Tanki. I believe they should Fallow the rules. Because members will get the word out privately, and it will turn into a huge mess. Anyways. I just wanted to say that Moderators, and Staff members should take into consideration that Members look up to them, as mentors? You guys are Role-models :)

I do think it is a pity so many players here write "I hope I don't get banned for saying this". It shows they are afraid to speak up and they don't really know how the rules will be applied, thus where the line is between getting banned and not getting banned.

Funnily enough, this rule has been applied to critical posts over complimemtary ones, as shown above...

And that's because it seems even the mods themselves haven't collectively drawn a line for when something breaks the rule on discussion of the moderation system - a post which one mod might see as acceptable could be hidden by another. Then, the post would be unhidden and rehidden as the mods try to decide whether it breaks the rules or not. As has happened here and elsewhere. Numerous times. No wonder players are scared...

I also hate the no caps rule. What's wrong with "HELLO!" in chat? I don't see how it's making someone else angry or disturbing game-play. But there is a cut off point for sure, but one or 2 words, come on guys...

I've also seen on occasion someone banned for caps when caps weren't used, I don't know if that was an accident but for the sake of this I hope it was a mistake. (Directed to Moderators, not intended to be a general post)

 

Consultants have to be the best of the staff here, they provide invaluable information and help to those who need it. The Tanki Reporters and Newspaper editors are also doing a rockin job! :)

 

Oh and why can't talk about what moderators do?

from what i see, Chat mod + Forum mod do good job, i see less flood/insults in the server and forum, Cyber sport are good but sometimes their commentary gets boring, Reporters Need more work to make much fun articles however i once read a good article which i had fun that had pictures of wallpapers by les_Alterman, very nice+ consultants are helpful and nice.

I have only seen PC-Jack actually respond in forum chat when someones asks for a mod. It has been my experience that others do not and someone else answers questions or directs players to information.  I do not troll so other mods may very well, but I felt the need to point out that he does for sure.

Very forward thinking of you to allow this forum.

I also like the informative videos with staff in them. It is more personal.

It would be great if I could receive a response to the point made here. For example, if I posted "mod xyz is amazing" and "mod xyz is terrible", shouldn't both be hidden? It seems only the critical ones are being hidden here and elsewhere, though...

Yes, perhaps the idea in the main topic was described not as well as it could have. The thing is, if we allowed negative feedback on specific members of staff, some people would just come here and insult a mod or a consultant or a reporter. This would be neither polite nor useful by any means. On the other hand, positive posts about some staff members don't harm anyone and encourage staff to work better and spend more time in the forum and in the game.

 

Again, don't think it is feedback, back to the topic.

lolz what kind of freedom you are now allowed here? you made specific topic and still made restrictions on this topic. it was better that you not make the topic for staff.  you welcome the favoritism, but you banned the criticism.  you say people opinions are matter for you. but within your limits you defined in your rules. which is actually few words of admiration.. those who are sick of being get unfair banned cant even express their opinion about specific staff member. you are not admitting your staffs mistakes just going to ignore them and you are taking actions on tanki users mistakes.. there is no people opinion matters there is only your opinion matters.

You don't get banned for criticism. Those who are banned unfairly, can easily contact technical support at help@tankionline.com, contact the chat administrator or me directly. Moderators that give unfair bans or ban people without enough proof get fines on their salaries. What I mean is that if you were banned unfairly, complaining here won't help to resolve the issue quicker. The same for complaints about specific staff members, just send it to an admin or a community manager. And we are admitting mistakes made by staff and do our best to minimize them, that is why this topic exists.

I'd like to make a point about PMs again. Most of the time (as shown recently) you get a satisfying response, but ignorance and abruptness is on the rise. Twice now I've got "I owe you nothing" or "I won't tell you" for whichever reason not specified. For the former, as I said before the staff obviously don't owe you a penny but it is their job to respond. In this case, I had asked how I had broken a rule but was merely tossed aside with no answer. Second occasion, I had asked why the staff member had done something, and my response is above.

You are confusing insults with feedback here. Negative feedback is feedback and so is positive. Insults aren't. People who insult anyone get banned, that's what rules and rule maintainers are for.

And in my opinion you are being rather pessimistic here, saying that if you allowed negative feedback people would just insult. There are plenty of people here who are very well capable of giving negative feedback in a polite way. 

Players who insult are everywhere and they won't let anyone stop them, whether you forbid them or not.

In my opinion negative feedback is necessary to improve, if you only compliment the good and forget about the bad no-one will ever become better. If you don't know you are doing something wrong, how can you possibly stop making the same mistakes over and over again?

I understand that we should contact the proper administrator about it, but are you afraid that we, regular players, see that the staff can make mistakes too and isn't perfect? Because, honestly, most players here already know that, why hide it?

Your feedback is welcome, whether it is negative or positive. Negative one is even more useful frankly speaking. I'm not denying that there are plenty of people that are able to give negative feedback politely and this thread proves that. However, discussing bans and specific staff members in public won't do any good. As it was said, send complaints to admins if you have any. This is the place for general feedback and ideas that admins can analyze and implement in their staff groups. And no, no one is afraid that players see mistakes made. Nothing is perfect but it's our aim to make it as close to perfect as possible.

 

Please, back to the topic, this is a topic for ideas and feedback, not discussion. PM me in case you have further questions.

It says "will" because the next time the player commits that violation they will receive a forever ban, If I'm not mistaken. If one cannot learn from the ban, then they why should they have the privilege to speak.

It is not necessary to pick out any mistakes a staff member makes in public. Express that kind of feedback in PM or contact the appropriate manager for that staff member.
