Generalissimo's Deserve Respect!

I have been inspired to write this thread based on the strong opinions displayed in Generalissimo Eliteists topic.

 

I believe Generalissimo's absolutely deserve respect. They have put forth the time and effort to obtain the highest position available in Tanki which is no small task. I applaud you all for your efforts. As you all know with this highest of ranks they are afforded all the luxuries this game has to offer like the best weapons systems, ability to access every map and the adoration of the lower ranks that aspire to become part of the elite. Yes, I consider them to be the elite players of this game and they should be respected for their experience and the many hours, probably in the 1000's that they have invested. Even hard earned money in some cases also. As lower rank players we should be considerate of them wanting to test their skills against other elite players and not join a high rank game even though we have the right and ability to do so. We al know it can be frustrating when a low rank or "noob'" joins and has no clue as to what to do and even if they do, can not compete against superior weapons. I personally look up to the higher rank players in most cases because they are better players and have more experience than I do. So please lower ranks, try to respect that some times we are just getting in the way. 

 

How ever, this is where I am going to be critical. As a Generalissimo and any "high" rank player you do have the adoration of the lower rank players and you can really mess it up sometimes. As it stands now if a match is created and a particular range of ranks is allowed on occasion you will have lower rank players join. We lower ranks want to see you in action and learn from you. We are just as competitive and passionate about the game as you are. So please try to be more considerate of the little guy. It is understandable some of your positions on lower ranks joining your matches.Taking a disrespectful tone and talking trash to some one is just wrong and does nothing to improve this game. 

 

In conclusion, the higher ranks particularly the Generalissimo's do deserve our respect. With that respect comes responsibility though. We should all strive to leave this game better than we find it on a daly basis. That means treat each other with respect and be considerate of others. We all have the power to make this game better or worse for other players, the choice is yours alone. It is easy to be argumentative and negative to others and much more difficult to do the right thing. All the higher ranks in particular have demonstrated their ability to excel in this game and if you can do that then I know you can muster up the commitment to do what is right and make this game more enjoyable for all those that aspire to reach the same heights you have. As lower ranks we should do what is right also and be considerate of the higher ranks and their desire to compete at the highest levels. 

 

I know not all will agree and that is expected. This does not mean I want everyone to hold hands and have a big love fest either. Please by all means if you have a strong opinion about some thing or disagree with someone then make it known and debate your position with conviction but please try to be respectful about it.

I agree to an extent, I dont know if you read any of the other thread I linked but some thought the OP was complaining about getting beat by Generals because he is lower rank, but the fact is he was complaining about the way he was treated by said Generals and not the fact they beat him. So I posted this to hopefully get people to think about their actions and how it affects others and the quality of the game. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my topic  :)

I agree with both of you. Notice I also lay out the kind of behavior that should get respect. I asked them to have an understanding of the position they hold and to act accordingly. I have respect for the rank they have because in most cases they have put forth the effort and I know what that in tails, however if they open their mouth and spew negativity then rank means nothing, I just consider them a blow hard big mouth.

 

There will always be exceptions like the guy that "bought" his way to the rank. I am talking about a guy or girl that has worked hard and put the time in. IMHO that deserves some respect. My respect can be easily lost with a simple opening of the mouth. the whole point of this was to get people to think about how they, as an individual act and treat people no matter what rank. WE should ALL be considerate of one another even if it means leaving a game with higher ranks or allowing and welcoming a lower rank player. I would like people to have the attitude that they WANT to leave this game better than they found it and WE ALL have the ability to make this a reality.

WOW...I had to unblock you to read your comment...I forgot why I blocked you ..oh well. The players you describe are the exception and they probably are "noobs" how ever I think you know the type of player I am talking about. You didn't read the whole post did you? if you did you would have seen I said they (the real elite players) have put forth the effort. Man...I feel like I have to pull you along, take the time to read and understand the OP so I don't have to explain each section of thought 1 at a time to you in 100 different post so you get the point of this topic......

Well.....

 

A player with the ultimate skill, ultimate kindness, and good and well behavior with others should be respected.

 

For example there was a guy name KOLOPINO (Some how i remembered him) He was the one whom i say so much skillful, respected, and kind player in his rank. Like other warrant officer i have seen only him so much good by his rank.

 

But i have seen a colonel who was just sitting in the base and when some one comes with a flag he just pushes him/her and was requesting others (in english) to give him flag cause he want to score (he was having m2 mammoth and m1 twin) but even though he was so "noob" begging others to give him flag cause he want crystal and and want to score.

 

 

All great players deserve respect, whether Genralissimo or not.

Just cause u r top rank as well. I mean many gens are safe, but some just think that if they're top ranks they're the best, but that's not realecause u r not a player if u don't try different combos and allways use mammoth and the same gun all the time. The project I'm working on will have every weapon and hull balanced so different combos would be used more often...

Occasionally low rank players (noobs) have joined a battle with me and started asking questions. In these cases they may have just bought a new item, etc., and are looking for some tips. I try to give them a couple pointers, which is usually very helpful. One player used my advice to take first place over me. :P However, my patience runs thin with those low rankers who show up and sabotage. I find this the worst in friendly fire matches and TDM mode, where they can die repeatedly, costing the game. Also, I find the real high rankers can be very obnoxious. I once joined an English Silence Rail battle with Gens. Surprisingly, I started doing pretty well and got quite a few kills. Then some teammates started complaining about me getting in their way, even though I was by the container and concrete blocks on the red side. So, after passing a few high ranked players in score, these members kicked up a real fuss and I got kicked out of the battle. I never try to abuse any respect of lower ranks, but there is a fine line between learning and becoming a liability. Hopefully we can all learn to walk this line carefully, as it has great effect upon our peers.
