  It seems as though some people think that if they grabbed the flag from the enemy platform, that the flag now belongs to them, and they deserve to capture it, even if they die and drop it in enemy territory and someone else has to drug to retrieve it. People will even block the current flag holder from capturing the flag with their tank.

  To those people who do that: You are multing, and the flag belongs to whoever is holding it, there is no reason why he has to drop it in front of you and if he chooses to do so, it should be at his own discretion whether he gives it to you or not, even if you lost it 2 inches from the capture point, you should not force others to give you any flags, ever.

If they brought it the whole way to flag... then they deserve it, if they dropped it two inches, then whoever caps it.

You should give it back to the person who died then. :mellow:

 

The only exclusions are these scenarios:

• Enemies are nearby and you're the only one near the flag, if you don't capture it, then it will get returned.
• Teammates suck.

The two reasons above are the only reason why I'd capture it without giving it back. . . .

 

And when I say Teammates suck, I mean:

• Isidas are noob at healing.
• Mults.
• Crystal box Noobs
• Horrible personality

I have this problem a lot on my alt. Never on this account just because we don't care whoever captures it. We are fighting for a teamwin, not for an individual win. When I carry the flag, and I see someone on my team with nitro or a wasp M3 I drop it, just because the flag will be earlier safe to be captured.

 

So, I think the people who desperately want to get "their" flag back should change his mind from 'individual win' to 'team win'.

 

The OP brings some nice discussions up, I remember a previous one which became a nice discussion and popular topic. Keep it up lasershark!

Only the noobs at lower ranks fight for a flag. At top ranks, on real games, it's almost impossible the guy who pick the flag capture himself, you have to pass it. I'm not saying all lower ranks are noobs, just lack of experience and the pace is different. It doesn't matter who cap, the only important thing is win as a team. At the end, usually the best players are on the top of the scoreboard, one way or another.

Yeah you're right. I have seen like this. But usually when i get flag from someone who is upside down then before i capture i find the person and give the flag to him/her.

 

Well i have seen nubs especially fighting to get flags.But as other said team win is important then individual win. As if you cooperate and work with your team then your team becomes strong but some nub think only of individual one which in later make the team lose. 

 

For example a nub isida is sitting in the cliff of the silence map waiting for the crystal drop to get it and by the time healing its teammates who are defending with mammoth and twin in the ramp. Now the nub stop healing and dive to get crystal and by the time the guy mammoth got destroyed who was fighting with the enemy to stop getting up on the base.

 

The above example shows that the isida think of himself neither of his teammate nor his team. If they think of themselves then there is a option "Death Match" where it is given in a tip that 'you can rely on your own skill'

Maximum nubs at high rank are players who have played tanki less, who are not playing tanki for long time. They just plays tanki for hours and rank up but they are not with tanki for long time. For example a Captain playing tanki for 6 moths and another second lieutenant playing tanki for an year. Now the second lie. who is playing for an year is much more experienced then the captain. And many nubs at high rank are players who are not playing tanki for long long time.(Hope you understand)

I have this problem too. When someone is going to capture our flag, they totally ignore it & i'm the only person who defend the flag. While others, they go for the enemy flag only & they have no tatics at all...

But still they do that.

I hate it when i play lower ranked battles, and, noobs block me, i get killed, they capture the flag, my drugs wasted, ONLY BECAUSE A STUPID NOOB WANTS A NEW RANK.

There's a difference here ... people who actively block you are indeed mults , those who may be less experienced and inadvertently block you and if your unlucky

you'll lose the flag.But like everyone else you would like to rank up to , so it's those mults as I see it that cause most frustration.

I always get it back if I brought it, and if someone else brings it I always give it them back, so I don't really have much of a problem with this...

I think that it doesn't really matter who put's the flag in in the end, you will still be splitting the points or some of them with the original flag grabber, unless it was put back before you grabbed it. If I am able to get the flag from the original and I bring it back to the post and the person is there waiting once they have died, I will give it to them. Sometimes, when I bring it back though, there are the people who did not get the flag from the enemy team and they will all be swarming me, pushing me and blocking me until I put it down for them to fight and kill each other over, it's kinda funny.  :mellow: There are also times when I forget who originally grabbed it, since the majority of the tanks I see are hornets.. I forget easily and I sometimes give it to the wrong person. XD

Of course, you should really be fair, and give it back to the person who got it 2 inches away from the capture point, but it's your decision, not his. That person should never try to sabotage the gameplay in return.

 

You occasionally get some very courteous players who'll just give you the flag once in a while for you to cap if, for example, you're a sniper and you're providing good cover for him as he attacks, or you're an Isida who's kept him alive on the escape from the enemy base. Those sorts of players set a good example to others; however, it remains the choice of the flag carrier whether he gives you the flag, and you shouldn't try to make him give it to you whatever the situation.

 

As for the issue of it being a team win rather than an individual one, it's every man for himself most of the time at my rank. The only time when that changes for me is when I'm a. playing with friends or b. in a clan training/war. To be fair, the idea of an individual win in CTFs holds up OK, since everyone's fighting for the same objectives... until a Mammoth/Rail takes the flag, and as you stand next to him with your Hornet, a Freeze spawns whilst he's still trundling away from the heart of the enemy base. Only then you realise that this clearly isn't the best way of playing a CTF.

in russian u lose it the russians takes and caps it ..

Don't you know that you play with Russians? Really, this is not only for English people, Russians claim the flag as well. And I think lasershark brings up nice discussions. Let him make these kinds of topics :)
