Discounts on Mammoth, Wasp and Dictator [Choose your discount!] (26/07/2013)

 

Although Mammoth wasn't really a favourite of mine, I couldn't resist buying my first M1 for only 1,600 crystals. This beast served me very well all the way to Warrant Officer 4, although I find it very weak through the Lieutenant ranks. Using it with Thunder M0, then Rail M1, it was incredibly easy for me to rack up kills and have my D/L above 10.00. I'd definitely suggest against this tank for the adventurous tanker; I always found myself stuck in one spot, unable to move if I wanted to destroy enemy tanks.

My original plan was to get Thunder M1 once I ranked, but with Rail M1 at only 10,990 crystals, who could resist? 65% off a turret is very, very rare in Tanki, so almost every player was taking advantage of this opportunity. While playing in the Warrant Officer ranks, I had envied the Rail M1's, as they one-shotted the incredibly common Hornets. At the beginning, it felt a bit like a dream, actually owning such a mighty and powerful weapon. In fact, I would describe Railgun as a "must-have" for any junior tankman.

Discounts on all paints and bonuses when buying crystals (16/08/2013)

 

My early dream paint had always been Tundra, but at this point I was determined to upgrade my Hornet to M1. I finally made up my mind by simply confirming the purchase and going for it. I absolutely adore this beautiful paint, but I do agree with the general consensus that it's not worth 35.5k, but at half price it was a steal. This buy was also instrumental in me using Hornet again, as I could now survive Rail shots even though I was M0.

At last - a chance to upgrade Hornet! It was a long time coming, but well worth the wait. In my opinion Hornet is the most versatile hull and a great compliment for Rail. I was already well set up with Tundra to protect me, so I became a real force on the battlefield. Once again, I'd describe this tank as a key piece to any tanker's toolkit.

Tankman's Day discount is already on! [Earn your discount!] (08/09/2013)

 

I had anticipated this moment for a a while now. I'd changed my mind countless times on what to buy, but finally, with many thanks to @Remaine for helping finalize my choice, the decision was made. This day was also my first using an M2, as I bought Isida. Also, in a spurt of vanity, I purchased Twins, mostly because of @Remaine going on about he was picking it up too. Isida is still a great love of mine, yet I have had to keep up some variety with other turrets, otherwise it would get slightly boring. Some old philosophers would no doubt be pleased to point out how it only made sense that I'd hate Twins after the way it came into my possession, but hey, gotta try everything once, right? Anyways, this sale was probably the most pivotal of my Tanki career and I don't regret anything.

50% discount on Freeze, Wasp and paints with Freeze protection! ["Icy" discounts] (04/10/2013)

 

Now this one was another tough decision. I could get Freeze M2 with all my crystals, or I could buy Wasp and only upgrade Freeze to M1, which would leave me with a few leftover crystals. After the new physics open testing, however, I found my mind unburdened, as my admiration of Wasp's speed simply called to me. I was not disappointed either, as I find Wasp a wonderful, versatile hull, very useful for both close range and sniping. To Freeze then; it isn't exactly my type of gameplay, but definitely a usable weapon, which is a lot of fun in CTFs when you annihilate ever flag attack by the other team.

At last! I could now get Hornet M2. Of course I'd have enjoyed a higher discount, but really I was just happy to finally be upgrading. I was thinking about Hunter at the same time, but I decided to wait 'til Captain and a 50% sale. As before, I adore Hornet, though the M2 full price is not worth it. The speed boost is wonderful, and has already saved me from a few tight spots, although the armour isn't so impressing. M1's only suffer a minor setback when attacking me, while I can't see a difference in M2's attacks.

Epic weekend has begun! (24/11/2013)

 

I didn't want to miss out on a 50% sale, so decided to get Thunder M1, which I'd always wanted. Unfortunately, I bought it rather late in its lifetime and have trouble getting kills in a competitive M2-level battle. Thunder's always an enjoyable play, but has limited usefulness in power.
