De Heineken ontvoering.

English translation:

The Heineken kidnap.

1983.The boss of Heineken beer got kidnapped by 4 guys , he would be released after €16 million euro's would be payed. After they got the money they burried the biggest part in the woods , and they splitted. The police got 2 of them fast , 1 reacted like he was mentilly ill. The other 2 were in France , and the police got them to , the France took em to ''Sint Maarten'' , a island with a Frech and a Dutch half.

The guy who acted like he was mentilly ill went to a mental hospital , where he escaped and ran to Paraguay. 11 years later he got caught , in 1994. he already had a wife and children. He was delivered to the netherlands , were he got released 6 years later and got back to Paraguay. 2 of the other kidnappers got killed in 2003 and 2004 by some high crimebosses. The last one is still active in the crime , he is believed to be one of the highest bosses in the Dutch underworld.

This film is based on a kidnap that happened in real life

I really liked the movie , there was action and the story was good. Though it's a Dutch movie so most wouldn't understand it :D

In the past year or two, stuff i've watched a few times:

Safety Not Guaranteed, Cold Mountain, Moneyball, Limitless, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Inbetweener Movie, Your Highness, Project X, Defendor.....good stuff.

I just watched:

the hobbit

pretty much more of the same...the epic greatness of the Tolkien books are so special, but the movie adaptations always seemed a bit too "high on themselves".

and

the dictator

again, more of the same borat, bruno, etc....almost seemed like the same characters, style, love interests, and feel of the plot but with slightly different back stories.

Just watched:

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Excellent Movie, well worth the price of admission or rental. The Books may be better, but still an excellent film, nice and dark.

Save the Last Dance.

Er... It's a good film, interesting use of language ^^. About... dancing...

Was released in '01 so I guess even though the plot is rather clichéd, since it's early for those types of films no one could call it clichéd at the time.
