My proposal for a new scoring system

It seems like an interesting idea except there are two problems I can think of. What happens if it's implemented and everyone goes into kill-stealing mode? People simply wait for others to weaken a mammoth and then kill steal. The player that did the least work could end up racking up a whole bunch of points by kill-stealing, while at the same time not really helping his team much at all. Also, druggers will have an even bigger advantage because they will be able to take out the mammoths faster and therefore get even more points above non druggers than they would have before. However, if the score was divided based on damage like in TDM's such as jordan61 suggested, then it might work. It is kind of annoying when you're the one taking on those mammoth shafts and you start to slip further down the list though...  :rolleyes:

Yes, the score will be divided like in TDM.

 

Also, I have been thinking about a score penalty for drugging. But tanki would definitely not like it, since they make a portion of their incomes from drugs. Probably why they made NS cost 500 to join.

That is why I had suggested in this topic earlier that they could possibly add a system where drugging actually would half the exp you get for each kill or capping, as the task is much simpler. If you kill a drugging enemy, your exp gained would double, so if you drugged to kill a drugger, since it would be even, you would get the normal exp amount.

 

Edit: please note that this would not take away the benefit of drugging, it could still win you the game and bring in the crystals. You would just be forced to pay for it by ranking slightly slower.

I feel that kill stealing happens a lot already, specifically with shafts. Shafts used to be able to work by themselves, but since the re-balance, they have almost been forced to kill steal. I suppose if you were to not like it, you would play TDMs so you could at least get credit for damage you do to the enemy.

i say it should depend on rank ...for kill 1st level u may give 5 and for last 35 xp

Then it would be like the score system back in 2011, marshals would get a negligible amount of xp while noobs can get a ton by killing marshals.

This scoring system would discourage players from picking on weaker tanks, and would encourage players to take time to destroy heavy tanks and druggers. If a tank is on double armor, you will get twice as much points.

 

This point is actually very notice able now. By introducing Drugs kits, almost 3 or 4 druggers now seen in every battle usually. so if the new scoring system is made as per the Notchfan suggested it will help non buyers alot.

I personally like this idea, but tanki would never implement it because they make money off of drugs. Think about why NS battles cost 500 to join.

The scoring system is perfectly balanced if you ask me! Why? Because a Mammoth may have a higher D/L, that does not mean a Wasp can't compete.

 

If using Wasp I tend to have a lower D/L, but more kills then when I would have used Mammoth.

 

Think about it! After a kill you line up way faster for your next kill and after being killed back in action quicker.

Its hard for low ranked people as the battle fund doesn't go up much as most low ranked people have no idea what to do... also they spend all there crys so at a warrant officer there tank isn't very good

Didn't you feel like you have wasted your time killing a tough camper only to get as much points as destroying a weak wasp in 1 shot?

Not really! I mostly use firebird and don't hang around to wait for the kill. I go for the flag, which is yet another advantage wasp has over mammoth when it comes to getting points.

something same was long time ago before rebalance.... i think current one is good and needs no change :)...

 

That old system we had in 2011 was rank based, not damage based.

Still too vague, get to the point.

That's your own problem then. It's been clearly explained. You should be able to detect the flaws by yourself.
