My proposal for a new scoring system

The current scoring system is much improved compared to the previous one. For destroying a tank, you get 10 points regardless of the rank of the destroyed tank, this made it more fair to both high ranked and low ranked players.

 

However, it wasn't good enough. More and more players tend to pick on tanks with less armor such as wasps and hornets (also tanks with lower Ms), since you would get 10 points anyway. Which again, made it unfair to players with a different playstyle and players with a lower rank.

 

Therefore, I'd like to explain my proposal for a new scoring system here.

 

The new scoring system is hitpoint based. In short, if you destroy a tank with lower hp you will not get as much as a tank with higher hp.

 

For every 10 hp of damage you get 1 xp. Here's a rough example:

 

Mammoth m2=300 hp=30 xp

Dictator m2=191 hp=19 xp

Wasp m2=135hp=13 xp

And so forth...

 

This scoring system would discourage players from picking on weaker tanks, and would encourage players to take time to destroy heavy tanks and druggers. If a tank is on double armor, you will get twice as much points.

Thus, making the gameplay more balanced and more diverse.

 

By the way, I would also like to suggest a warning message in team deathmatch. Oftentimes you are too focused on the battle, that you didn't notice your team is losing. So every time the enemy has more kills than your team, you will see "enemy team has taken the lead" on the top of your screen. If your team overtakes the enemy, you will see "your team has taken the lead". Of course, a sound effect will play.

 

PS: please don't tell me to post this on feedback, it's pathetic for a game forum not to have a section dedicated for suggestions.

Agree that the scoring is slightly unfair - bigger the tank and paint protection the more kills,then if double armour is used.

Where it's really unfair is when you are about to get the kill and its taken by another - you get nothing yet the high proportion of shots used to weaken are yours.

or points still saty 10 points but points are distributed by the amout of damage done like team deathmatch.This points distribution should be included in cf mode too

But that's like the equivalent tto capping a flag with a full team init

No way is ur system going to be considered

Lol for killing m3 mamoth with 2x armor anf protective paint u would got 100 points

Think about the effort it takes to destroy a tank like that.

 

With the current system, you only get 10 points no matter what, so why would I waste my time killing a mammoth when I can destroy a weak wasp with 1 shot?

 

And again, these numbers like I said, are just rough concepts. The exact score is what the developers have to figure out.

If you have m3 gun it is not that hard.i know it os harder to kill mamoth then wasp but if you play in team then you also need to kill big tanks. If you are in DM go and kill only light hulls

This is a good idea but will still get abused, e.g. People being able to mult a lot better than before or people will target mammoths a lot more. IMO the current system is good enough as giving different amount of points for kills is a lot more difficult to implement and harder to make the points you get for each kill 'fair'. A set amount of points is good enough as it is although I do agree that lighter hulls do get picked on a lot.

This idea will change everything, game wont be balanced and it wont be fair.. mammoth will be #1 targets think of that mammoth being you.. 

But it takes more time to kill mammoths than wasps! You can either kill a mammoth very slowly and get a lot of xp or 1 shot a wasp and get a small amount of xp. 

 

I always felt like I wasted time trying to kill a mammoth only to get 10 xp, think about it.

Not bad, I certainly like the notification idea. I would post that one in feedback, they might put it in. I think drugging should also be made a variable in xp gained. Drugging (not including pick-ups) would half your exp earned for each kill or something like that, DA and Nitro could half the flag capping exp. Something like that.

Wasp M0: 65 HP, 6 points
Hunter M0: 90 HP, 9 points
Titan M0: 140 HP, 14 points
Dictator M0: 105 HP, 10 points
Hornet M0: 83 HP, 8 points
Mammoth M0: 160 HP, 16 points
Viking M0: 127 HP, 12 points

They would average almost more exp per battle than they do now.

If you layed before update 123 you would know this is very alike what it was before and they won't change it i have posted a thread like this before wit a poll they closed it which i assume will happen to this

The one before was actually by rank, not strength of the killed vehicle. 

 

E.g. If a Captain killed a Private, they would get less points than a Private killing a Captain.

 

Similar, though. Still like this idea.

um basically same thing still. higher ranks have stronger tanks which is more points. this is exact same thing but by tank points

False. Yes, higher ranks will on average have hulls with more HP due to higher upgrades, but in individual cases (eg Wasp M2 versus Mammoth M1), that would not be the case. Therefore, judging purely based on hull HP would be a lot more accurate.

It would  be a bit more accurate but on the other hand they took this type of scoring out before so they aren't going to put it back in unfortunately as  have protested about it before
