There are 2 times the amount of tutorials for Paint.NET than GIMP.

Who needs tutorials when the program you're using is super user-friendly? If I could understand them as easily as PDN, I'd totally use one of adobe or corel's editing softwares.

It's all about sitting there, messing around and seeing what all the shiny buttons do. 

I never watch tutorials for anything, and I'm pretty good at Photoshop, but too lazy to do anything. I only use it for my graphics lesson in college... xD

Hey there is a utility about vector graphics available on internet called "Inkscape". Download it. its free and batter then GIMP and Paint and complete alternative of Photoshop. Its tutorials are available on youtube will help you alot to understand.

Interesting... I have Adobe Illustrator, is it better/same?
