The devs don't chose that. The marketing team do. And they didn't really increase the price of the game. Everything is cheaper now then when I started playing. Drugs are now about 17 times cheaper I think (something like that) and crystals are about 4 times cheaper. That's for buyers. And for non-buyers. Tanki wants to you to have one M3/M3 by the last rank. Before that was Marshal. With the addition of Generalissmo, prices went up as did the exp required for max rank so you will have one M3/M3 by Generalissmo.

Time to achieve this also increased... the time it takes to get 400k more XP is ALOT. It means you're stuck with that 1 Combo for far longer than if it were to end at Marshal lol. (More boring, and more likely someone will buy crystals since the road is even longer.)

As for the refund, I agree with you.  However, a refund would ruin Tanki's economy.  The moment a developer would be to publicly say that there will be a refund, there will immediately be a lot less buyers.  There would continue to be a lot less buyers, for quite a while.  Tanki needs these buyers to keep the game alive.  The money buyers spend, goes to the Tanki workers' gas, food, bills, family, and many other things, as well as things for the game itself, such as computers, hardware, lighting, and bills for the Tanki HQ.

 

 This is probably one of the reasons the prices were increased for the last rebalance.  There was a refund last rebalance, which probably caused players to stop buying.  So then, the developers probably figured that if they increased the prices of items, players would want to buy.

Maybe a 30% refund button? Tanki has not ever sold hulls/turrets at 70% off as I know of... so no matter what, they would still keep their profits... but they have sold Railgun at 65% off.. so to refund for 50% of full value would actually give some players a profit. As for a 50% refund button, there have been a few 50% turret sales... so they would again make no profit there, and people could easily buy new turrets/hulls at 50% off.

So 30%? :D It shouldn't ruin the economy at all then.

 

Edit: Amazing idea came to me...

 

!! Maybe they could have a REFUND EVENT. It would be a 1 day only event, for 24 hours, you are allowed to refund ONE item for 40% of its original sale value. This event could be at random whenever they want to do this... and a refunding of ONE item in peoples accounts for only 40% could not possibly ruin the economy!!

I think that titan was supposed to have somewhat faster speed than 6, its speed is not proportional to the increased speed to all hulls, now just mammoth will be useful for camping. titan got nerfed

 

Also there is no much difference again in between thunder m2 and m3, nor much difference between viking m2 and m3

 

Wasp is very fragile and it doesn't suit its rank and price. please make it better and more stable, why everybody then prefer hornet in clan wars? despite wasp unlocks at 2 ranks higher.

 

Rico wasn't supposed to be buffed to that extent, it became too much lethal, the new physics was supposed to bring a kind of a balance to all guns.

There will be no refund unfortunately. There is much more cost than benefit, than what you'd think. Here's what a developer said.

 

I do understand everybody would like a refund but it will never happen from now on.

 

This got nothing to do with US not listening YOU. Problem is — every refund ruining the game. I can put aside technical problems, which are important nevertheless, and bring up economical problems. Refund with rebalance was not an easy decision and we had serious problems afterwards. Remember update 123? You do not think that theese two releases was not connected, do you? Every refund WILL bring another "update 123" because refund ruining the game economy. You asking us to refund at physics update though we not changing entire economy and leveling system, we just fixing gameplay as it should be fixed long time ago. This is balancing, NOT rebalance.

 

Now, I am not asking you if you want refund or not, we are clear here that you do. What I am asking you is do you want another update 123?

 

If you ask me, having something like we've done with funds is far less fair then not giving you another refund.

@Nathan: It does not turn normally. When you turn with it, it feels heavier doesn't it? Like it's dragging a bit.  If you do it right, Hornet does drift a bit.
