This is my guide for Tanki!

Hello!

Here I will tell you my strategies, what to do in some tough situations, Tips, and other things.

What to do in these tough situations and tips for these weapons/hulls-

Starting with combos-

You see a Mammoth+Twins:

RUN! You wont stand a chance especially if you're a light tank. It will viciously attack you or even flip you over until you're dead.

Attack if You are using a long-range gun and are far away enough. Always stay a safe distance from them.

You see a mammoth+isida:

Stay a safe distance away from them. If you get in their range you are doomed. This combo id say is worst than with freeze/firebird as isida self heals when inflicting damage to enemy. Only attack if using long-range gun and are clear of its range.

Moving on to turrets-

Shaft:

Shaft getting on your nerves? No problem.

Shafts vision decreases big time as it's in scope mode. So go a different way to get to the shaft to get rid of it or simply to get past it.

Advantage of this: you can get past it or destroy it.

Disadvantage: you may get killed going the other way also, because other enemies maybe around there and destroy you.

Thunder:

If you are a very long distance away from it, just move on as thunders damage decreases dramatically with range. Attack it if you have a long-range weapon. If you are close to it, get closer. If you are close enough, it will damage itself also. Making it easier to kill. Works even against a mammoth with you using hornet.

Rico:

If it's close, and you are using a light hull, id suggest to hide while someone else damages it. Then, finish it off.

If using a heavy hull, face it.

When a rico is far away but shooting at you, move out if the way, lots of HP will be lost if not.

Remember if you hide when there's a rico around, rico can bounce bullets off walls. If you get hit because of the bounce effect, hide somewhere else.

Isida:

Light hull: If you're using a short-range, attack it. If you're using a long-range, back up while you shoot.

The best and fast way to kill an isida is to start shooting it from the back. Like that, it would have low health by the time its damaging you. Try to stay out of its range too, plan some better tactics than confronting it right away.

Freeze:

Use logic when confronting freeze. If you have low health, you want to stay far away from it. Freeze is more deadly when you are in low health because of its high fast damage. When you have full health, you should face it. From behind it's better so it's an easier kill. Getting frozen for like 10 second even after you killed it makes you an easy visible target. Besides that, it's not very pleasant being unable to move. Always check yoursurroundings. If you get surprised from the back, you are doomed.

Firebird:

Check your surroundings. If you get sprayed even for a bit the after burn will affect your health.

Sneak from behind so you don't get too damaged. If you confront one with a light-medium hull you are in a high chance of dying. When using a heavy hull totally go for it. What you could use as your advantage is that firebirds fuel drains fast and recharges slowly. So even better if it just sprayed all its fuel on someone so you can kill it.

Twins:

This turret shoots non stop. If using a light hull you can get flipped. If confronting one, you have a bad chance of survival. If you use short-range guns and are far from it, the shots will make it hard to move forward. If using a long-range gun, move back as you shoot. An advantage of twins is that the range is not so long. As for others, its better to sneak behind than to face right away. Dont even get me started on twins fully drugged.

Smoky:

Its rapid fire and critical hits make it a deadly weapon if you don't use logic. If you are far away and using short-range weapon, move out-of-the-way! Do not go after it! By the time you get to it, you would be destroyed. If you are using long-range, smoky should not be a big problem. You should face it most of the times unless of course your low on health. Sometimes you continuously get shot by one and you have no clue where it is. In this case, hide and then look around for it.

Railgun:

Railgun has high damage in one shot. Watch out for the peek-a-boo tactic! This technique is very deadly and very common. You will have a better chance of survival confronting one than letting it do that tactic. Short range usually is best against this gun. Of course, long range is also effective. If you are after it, sneak behind it. Getting shot by one drains your HP. Try to avoid this, if you don't act fast you will get destroyed.

If you are on a light hull like wasp, you can get one shotted. Use the slow turret rotation speed of rail as an advantage. Go around it while shooting.

Hulls:

Most of the time no matter the turret light hulls should be confronted. When you see a wasp, you should go get it. Of course for medium-heavy hulls, you need more of that skill and logic. The logic you should use for light hulls, is knowing how to kill them when they go around you with all that speed. When you see any hull recently get attacked, it's a no brainer you should finish it off. You should be able to tell which hull is which and about how much HP it has. So you have an idea of what you need to do to destroy it.

Supplies-

First aid:

You don't get many of these a day so you have to make them worth it. I use them when a gold box is dropping or im capturing a flag.

Great for recovering in a drug war too.

Double armor:

Great when you are confronting someone who will cause you certain death. Very effective if you are on a light hull. You feel great when you pick one up.

Double power:

If you see one collect it! This is very effective on short-range weapons for fast killing. Also railgun as you can one shot most tanks. When using rail and using this supply you come out and shoot and boom a kill. Great for any weapon though. Can make you score multiple kills at once more often.

Speed:

You need speed to catch a flag sometimes. Very effective on medium-heavy hulls. I would not suggest to apply it on wasp or you will go flying to your death or flip over. Exceptions of course for those that can control it. Some people just use it to feel more comfortable also.

Mines:

These are great for camping. So when people go after you, you have some placed so they die before you are reached. A good strategy I use is when someone is going after you and you are backing up. Place the mine as you back up and they will go into it and get destroyed. This is more effective in small spaces. Another strategy is when someone is spawning where you are. Place a mine and move so right away when it spawns it destroys it. If you have good timing, you will get a free kill!

Self-destruction-

Some people think pressing delete when flipped over is all there is to self destruction. That is false. A great strategy not everyone uses: jumping off map when very low on health or being chased on low health. But that's not all to it. Its fun to go on the other teams side, and hide there and shoot. When low on health jump off, its fun to mock them like that. Also though, its good when you know your going to die when someone keeps shooting at you. You can jump off so they don't get the kill. Always remember to jump off in these special occasions only or you will have a bunch of deaths.

Kill stealing-

This is a technique that you need to use to succeed with many weapons and modes. This will get you more kills and sometimes makes you survive longer.

For example, you are in a TDM and the enemy gets to your base. Your team-mate (a thunder) shoots it once. You automatically come out and shoot with your railgun and take the kill! Another example, when using firebird in a DM and you see two freeze going at each other. You wait to see who will survive. One dies and quickly you spray the other one and take the kill! That is kill stealing. I do this all the time with my firebird and railgun. It's not as easy and/or fast to kill steal with weapons that cause small damage, for example smoky. On the other hand, with rail and its great damage per shot, its one of the best to do this with. Some people actually depend on kill steals. Maybe a shafter on a high rank battle waits for enemy to get damaged because it can not one shot it. You see rails getting mostly kill steals and that's normal.

Check your surroundings-

You should always check around you. It's important to know if an enemy is approaching. When you see one coming towards you at your hiding spot you have time to think what to do. Use this guides logic to help you. Always think fast and logically. Mammoth coming and you have half health? Maybe you should move out. Wasp coming? Attack it and save your camping spot. Being aware of your surroundings is very important and has saved my life many times. Depends on where you're at, but you should always use Q and E to zoom in and zoom out to check around you.

Know where supplies fall-

You should try to find a camping spot where supplies fall. Know where they fall in a map too. This can help you so when an enemy is coming you can get the supply and destroy it first. For example, if you're on silence on the thinner ramp camping, you should know that armor and speed as well as crystals fall. Theres also armor near it on top and double power near it on the bottom.

What you should buy/use-

Turrets: If you like long-range smoky is a good choice. If you like midfield battle, thunder is awesome especially when enemy is in groups because of the splash damage. If you like long-range sniping where you can move while shooting great damage (unlike shaft) pick railgun (most recommended). For short-range weapons: if you like healing mates as well as attacking pick isida. If you enjoy slowing down enemy or burning them to death, pick freeze or firebird. Twins is a good short-range/midfield choice as it does not stop shooting, (not recommended after physics). Rico for short-range/midfield and the bouncing bullet effect.

Shaft is a nice sniping and camping weapon although i would not reccomend it for high ranked battles. The weapon id pick is railgun as to me its an all play.

Hulls: If you like speed pick hornet or wasp. Although they're not very stable but very effecfive if used right. For lots of HP and camping use mammoth or titan. They're slow but carry lots of health. For a mid experience hull with a balance of speed and hp as well as stability choose hunter, dictator, or viking. Id recommend hunter as it has a greater balance for me because it has more speed to move comfterably.

Quick tips on using each weapon-

Freeze: This is perfect for kill stealing because it causes a ton of damage per second. So if you see someone you infer has low hp you can destroy it so fast! Also, because of the freeze effect you can just go around enemy spraying it.

Firebird: You really need to take care of the fuel as it has a little only and re-fills slowly. You should know about how much each hull needs to get destroyed and always think of the after burn as well. For example I use about half on a light hull, 3/4 on a medium hull, and 1 on a heavy hull. Also hide while your charging up or else you will be in trouble if an enemy pops up.

Isida: Always have in mind that you should'nt use all your charge on healing a mate if there is a chance of enemy coming. Then they will kill you because you wont have charge. If enemy is under you or on top keep in mind you can sometimes get them from there to heal yourself.

Railgun: Use tactics for this gun. If you just face a short-range weapon you are in trouble. Try to hide behind objects or buildings and then come out and shoot. If you are just out in the open your score wont be as good. Always try to kill steal since its so easy because of the high damage per shot.

Thunder: Look for groups. If you see a group of enemy shoot them and the splash damage will damage all of them. Also shoot at walls or the floor where enemy is hiding. Careful! You can hurt yourself as well!

Paints-

I am not going to go too deep into paints. Always analyze paint protections and your gameplay to carefully choose a paint. Also think about which turrets you hate the most. Paints with a bunch of 5% protections are not worth it at the smaller ranks. Like I always say, go for paints with high protection for at least one turret. I'm talking 20%+.

Always think: will these protections fit my needs at the battlefield? Also, it's sometimes good to have a paint protecting against your own turret as you may find them more common sometimes.

Conclusion-

Well guys, this is it for now. I think I covered most of the important subjects and tips from the game. If I did not cover a subject that is important, please feel free to comment (or PM) and I will add it! I have gathered all this information and tips from my own experiences and boy I have learned great ones. These tactics always help me do good on the battlefield and get a good score. I hope you all like it as I spent lots of time on this. Thinking about it, typing it, and correcting it too. I also hope you learned something from this so you as well do better on the battlefield. Please comment your opinions and be honest if you learned a tip or two. All of your comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I thought I am going to watch high rank experienced player's guide. but you are just ..

the stretagies you mention is really noobs especially on Rico with light tank. lolz. these are not working on high ranked battle. I recommend you to join high rank battle when you ranked up to wo5 then you will see how your those stretagies works.especially in no-supply battles.

Well this is not for high ranks. Many of these things are useful for high ranks as well. But not all. Many are for begginers and for mid ranks.

Thunder:

Making it easier to kill. Works even against a mammoth with you using hornet.

That is correct, in a DM match I saw this M1 Mammoth with M1 Thunder, I had full health, I got close to him ,sprayed him a little just to see for any low health signs [i had firebird m1 and hornet m2] I let him damage himself 2 times then i sprayed him and a few seconds later he died then i did what many people do, jump off! :D :) :D :) :D :)

Usually works yes. Unless they self-destruct instead of you getting the kill...
