Indians go to countries like America because they have better job opportunities there. It is true that India isn't as developed as USA, but we were mistreated and exploited a lot during the colonial period and received our independence only in 1947. America, on the other hand got their independence way back in 1700's. And from what I know, the majority of the current citizens are the Europeans who settled there from Europe. The indigenous population was exploited by the whites. So, very obviously, initiatives benefiting the country were taken place instead of those which almost ruined India. Despite that, India has developed a lot. Oh, and as for the hygiene part, even I can say some unflattering things about America regarding the atomic bombs, the Afghanistan intrusion and the NSA spying.
