Hey folk! :)

I'm member of the German Newspaper (as you can see on my Profile) and we are planning to make a Advent calendar, which means that we are going to post an article each day in december.

And what I want you to do is to tell me about your winters, because we are planning to make an articel about "the winters of the world". It'll be very helpful if you answer those following questions:

-What do you do in winter?

-Is there snow in winter?

-Do you prefer winter to other seasons?

-What do you think is the difference between your's and other country's winter?

-What minds do you link to winter?

Please send me the answers in PM or post them here.

Thanks a lot for you all attentions, we wish you a wonderful winter

Your German Newspaper Team :)

- of course i LOVE winter (atleast i do)

- we have a great winter because at the beginning of the winter we have a LOT of festivals (diwali being the biggest one of them), i think the only thing we miss in winter would be snow although it reaches the temparature for snow we dont get any snow

- i dont get that

-What do you do in winter?

In winter season we used to have rains in south region of India and I think snow in north but the climate is behaving differently this year, so it's like regular stuff as going out for work as we aren't getting winter holidays this year (In my region).... All work no play.

-Is there snow in winter?

In northern part of our country like Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi/NCR etc has snow, Southern regions of our country has rains.

-Do you prefer winter to other seasons?

No, I prefer spring season as we get a lot of greenery here as India is multi biome country, so changes may vary region to region.

-What do you think is the difference between your's and other country's winter?

If I compare my country to that of Northern America or Australia, there are many differences such as temperature, habits in winter etc.

-What minds do you link to winter?

I am leaving this for my fellow comrades to answer :D

Please send me the answers in PM or post them here.

Thanks a lot for you all attentions, we wish you a wonderful winter

Get stuffed in loads of sweaters and laze in front of heater all day

-Is there snow in winter?

No! Expect in mountains

-Do you prefer winter to other seasons?

Yup! Atleast there are no disturbing insects and lizards, etc.

-What do you think is the difference between your's and other country's winter?

No snow means no stuff like snowboarding and other snow sports. But we got these festivals like baisakhi to get cheered up :P

-What minds do you link to winter?

One great aspect of Indian weather is that it is diverse. At the same time on the sake day, you may be freezing in one part of the country and drowning on your own sweat in the other part. Of course, the coastal regions have a maritime climate and don't experience much harsh winters or summers. I've lived in a lot of places in my life but I'll answer the questions from point of view of New Delhi, which has quite a continental climate.

- The usual, school, studies, play, etc.

- No, not here. Though if we go a bit north, there's a lot of snow. But even without snow, night temperatures dips below freezing point. It's also very foggy in mornings and evenings.

- yes, I do. It's the only season I can cosily wrap up myself in my blanket and get a good night's sleep. :p Also, it's the only season when I can exercise and feel good about sweating.

- As I said before, winter here is pretty diverse. The southern peninsular region hardly experiences any change in temperatures, though it becomes pleasantly cool in inner regions. The northern parts, especially ones beyond Himachal do experience harsh winters with snowstorms and what not. Though winter itself is not a predominant weather in our country, it's important for some major crops on which our agrarian economy survives. Also, it heralds the Spring season which is celebrated in form of various festivals throughout the country.

-idk, Robert Frost? :p

Just a small request, can you provide us with the link to the article when it is published?
