I understand where you're coming from, we may review this in future, but I also hope your understand that your word is not law. I can assure you we have considered what you're saying and we appreciate where you're coming from, but this does not mean we must do what you say. I have given our justification for use of Latin alphabet, and I hope you can appreciate and tolerate our position ^_^

Konsi official jagah pe ese hindi hoti hai?Mehneh toh kahai nahi dekhi yaar.Aapneh dekhi ho toh bata dena meh bhi dekhlu zara. ^_^

Baat jab community ki hai toh Arabic wale bhi likhtehi hongeh na?Tab aap logo ko kya paresani hai?Bhagwan toh nahi hona jo tum hindi bol ke publish karogeh or hum maan legeh hai ki nahi?

Personally, I will stand by what I think and continue to use Hindi in the Devnagri script in appropriate forums. I'm of the view that Hindi cannot be moulded into Hinglish (as a convenient texting language, which is actually derived from Sanskrit: a highly spiritual language). By writing in the Devnagri script, we serve a bigger purpose by making it more communicable. It's unfortunate our Government did not launch Hindi keypad computers and phones, while the Chinese government launched Chinese keypad computers and phones for their people. It does not mean we as people should give up on the script our native language is derived from. It is to respect the true essence of the language and to serve this bigger revolutionary purpose that I will continue using the Devnagri script.

I will only apply as a Hindi reporter once Devnagri script is brought into use. Else, I will continue to stand against Hinglish.

Agreed. Arabic is also mutually intelligble with languages like Persian (similar to Hindi & Urdu) yet the Arabic community stuck to using its own script. We are apparently an identity-less group writing in Latin Hindi because it's convienent and can be understood by a few people outside of our community.

Man, you're talking like Hindi is am endangered language or something. And what's wrong with Hinglish? Languages and cultures have always mixed up together. That's the way of world. You think Hindi is a pure language? Of course not! It is derived largely from Sanskrit but also borrows heavily from Urdu. That's why you'll see that many Urdu speakers are able to understand us and vice versa. Writing in Latin Script allows them to understand top while Devanagri script will hugely limit of number of readers. The purpose of the newspaper is to cater to maximum number of people, not elite few. ;)

Happy Dev Diwali to all.

It is celebrated on the last day of Ganga Mahotsav, which begins on Prabodhini Ekadashi (11th day in the Lunar month of Kartik) and ends in Dev Deepawali which falls on 14th November 2016. It is interesting to note that Dev Deepawali in Varanasi also coincides with Guru Nanak Jayanti and Jain Light Festival

What are we upto now. Seriously you guys are over reacting about the articles and post which you want it to be in a different language. For me it is enough and i am proud that we have our indian news paper in this tanki forum and the reporters are doing there job pretty good.

And nobody should talk or question about "desh prem" because you guys are sounding like a bunch of arrogant politicians. This is a gaming forum. A place to hangout and have fun. So let it be like this...

eh? Can i make a point here? "Urdu is an Indian Language, which is nothing but the fusion of Standard Hindi with Persian and Arabic Languages. It has most of its words derived from Sanskrit. Both Hindi and Urdu have same grammar, the only major difference is that Hindi is written in Devanagari while Urdu is written in Arabic." I think you got ur facts wrong mate :v. I am not saying don't use "Hinglish".

Sorry, I realise that the way I wrote could be misinterpreted. What I meant was that Hindi has many similarities with Urdu and both have partially common origins on sanskrit. In any case, the point was that writing Hinglish isn't 'insult' or deterioration of the language. It's just mingling of cultures.

Umm yes Hindi is derived from Sanskrit which is super ancient (the Vedas, Mahabharata, Puranas etc. were all written in Sanskrit) but Urdu was developed in the 1300s by chaiwalas in Lucknow  :D Mostly Urdu borrows words from Hindi, while Hindi has incorporated some modern Urdu words.
