Parkour Discussion / Q&A

Agreed. Yep, for example in Math. It's not enough to only understand something, but if you can use it in other cases then you are "pro" Math student.

Well, in my opinion, all math students should use mathematics in real life because math comes of NO use unless it is used in reality. However, since this is not a topic about math, and rather about parkour, I say that Math does not effect parkour much in Tanki Online. It may effect much on Tanki X. The reason why I believe that math doesn't come of much use in TO, is because it is hard to calculate ever single movements. Hammer has more impact force than Thunder, however thunder is better for OMP parkour because of its splash damge. Unfortunately the splash damage cannot be calculated exactly, so it will be hard to do parkour with maths. I suggest that guessing is the best choice. A parkourist who can predict what is going to happen, has a pretty good insight in parkour. Guessing is better than Maths in Tanki Online. Want proof? Here is one: When you, me, gab, and someone else tried to conquer that tall orange building in the corner of Aleksandrovsk, we once failed because the jumper rotated. When you guys were doing it, everything would have succeeded 100% because all the calculations were correct; but it didn't because there was a slight change in the angle of the ramp causing the wasp to decrease in its ability to climb up therefore he slanted a bit to the right and failed to conquer the building. See? Anyway sorry for the long post. I was just trying to give my point that Math is not good to use in Tanki Online Parkour.

Parkour related bug reports

1)

Experienced: Map Highways

Type: Prop bug

Hull: Dictator

When I stand/lean against a simple concrete wall if I a bit lower that the top of my hull is same high as the wall I slide down - can't keep myself up.

2)

Experienced: Map Highways

Type: Hull hitbox bug

Hull: Dictator

When I stand/lean against a wall the player stading/leaning against me (and still standing on the ground) moves sideways (horizontally) and can't stop - like dictator was of ice.

Am I the only who experienced these? Sorry for this so brief explanation.

A picture describing the issue would be better

It was a "Mammoth Tower", 5 Mammoths all phantom into a Wasp then the Wasp self-destructs and boom, there you go, a Mammoth on a house  :P

How much does a parkour video costs?

Over 10.000 crystals.

Let me explain: In a video you have 10 tricks. You must try every trick 15 times because they are hard, and new for you. 150 attempt. For each one the jumper needs DA and speed boost. Although he/she can use pickups, sometimes you also need repair kit or mines. So I'd just use 50 (DA) + 50 (SB) = 100 crystals / attempt.

150*100=15.000 crystals.

How much does a parkour video costs?

I spent 50k on parkour in just a week, I have to take breaks from parkour tricks that require certain supplies sometimes just so I can get more crystals and buy more supplies... This is insane, and this problem grows now that I start doing more complex tricks with my team, a lot of attempts for the hardest of the tricks we do, and a bunch more for experimenting and for OMP training cause I need to train to be as good as I was a year ago, before taking a break from tanki.

oh my precious nitro <3

I still don't understand why many parkourists use up so many drugs? Can't they not use it until the real parkour begins? I still have over 1500 drugs.

It's all used in "real" parkour, we just do a lot of work on our videos and pick only the best tricks, did you see the Barda parkour montage by Fight & Flight? You have no idea how much work we put into this video.

Devs are testing this turret, can you guess what will be it's implications in parkour? :P

It is a bad equipment for parkour, don't trust me! It inflicts a lot of damage, and little impact force. But, I think its splash effect can be greatly utilized for doing one man parkour and parkour tricks that require splash effect, but one thing is for sure... it ain't useful just kidding
