Why are we here?

To be honest. There isn't real reason why we are on this exact planet. God just found it most suitable and most 'special' out of others. This is the only one that has life on it, if you don't count plants.

I don't count religous reasons as valid. A more logical explanation is that we're just lucky. There are an estimated 72 civilizations in our galaxy, we just happen to be one of them.

^Yes. What's so wrong with luck being an explanation for our existence? It seems us human beings love to think we're special in some way... when we're just a tiny blip in the scheme of the universe

Agreed.

You've got the words to change a nation
But you're biting your tongue
You've spent a life time stuck in silence
Afraid you'll say something wrong
If no one ever hears it how we gonna learn your song?
So come, on come on
Come on, come on
You've got a heart as loud as lions
So why let your voice be tamed?
Baby we're a little different
There's no need to be ashamed
You've got the light to fight the shadows
So stop hiding it away

Literally one of the best songs ever

wait what, u went and explored the galaxy and found 72 civilizations? there is NO proof of more civilizations, as there is ''no proof'' of a God to you. so basically u cannot say its a more logical explanation, as u dont know if there are more. So it's just as logical to believe in a God, if not more.

It's a theory, and I was referring to the lack of logic in opinion, so please don't tell me what I said.

The answer is 42.

No, it isn't. It's just a number which happens to connect to others...

If someone tried hard enough, they could probably find something for 17, 7 (why not seven, actually?), etc.

To answer the question however, I think we're here to be witnesses of God (sorry for the cliché ^^).

Yes, it is. Everybody knows that

Just type "the answer to life the universe and everything" into Google, and see what the Google Calculator says.

Bettter than a man in the sky.

Man? No, that would be stupid. A "man" couldn't have existed forever and always and created another "man". "Sky"? No, that would also be ridiculous as what is seen is only temporary. God can't be in the sky, but something eternal which is Heaven, which we cannot see.

This "luck" takes much more faith than an amazing God in the heavens.

Ooooo, that hurts so much! I'm aching from that pain! Oh wait, google is the internet, and hasn't your mother ever told you "Not everything on the internet is true, boy"? You're taking an Appeal to Illegitimate Authority. Now, I'm not saying that just because Google says so, it must be false, but it doesn't mean it's "true".

Your logic is invalid as you're assuming that just because google says so, it must me true.

What is the right answer? we all have our own opinions do we not

& that is what makes this question so interesting as there are so many thoughts about it

& google should not be considered as a reliable font of all knowledge ;)
