Ability to turn off chat.

In battle we have the ability to HIDE chat but not turn it OFF so it still causes major lags. even worse while in the lobby it takes FOREVER to load due to the fact that everyone chatting is causing major lag. give us the ability to turn OFF battle and lobby chat and not just hide it. it will help stop the lag. what do you guys think?

Why don't you post that in Ideas & Suggestions? Yeah, the chat affects my speed, too. But I want to communicate to other people, too, though.

^ It's actually pretty cheap. If you take the time, you could get a really good Internet for $20. My router cost only $30.  :D If you can't raise $30, then... deal with it!  :P :lol:

in test server there are noobs spamming and making the game slow

Chat messages are the least of your worries - the data packets that chat messages send are extremely tiny, even compared to the data packets sent from your tanks position, rotation, etc. Having an option to remove chat will make virtually no difference in your perception of lag.

 

Either way you can suggest this in the Ideas topic, and discuss it further there.
