Welcome to issue two of the 'Monthly Review of the News!' This article will round up all the incredible work the Administrators have accomplished throughout November!

1 Nov 2013 Best helpers of October: Community's choice
To see if it would work in the future, Semyon created a poll for the whole of the English community to vote for the most hard-working and friendliest helpers of the Administration in October to be the "Best helpers of October". The voting was split into three different categories - Best Forum Moderator, Best Consultant and Best Reporter. Chat Moderators could not be voted for as their activities cannot be evaluated or judged by players. As well as that, there were no categories for Representatives of Cybersport (including commentators) because no official streams were made. The actual decision was made by the Administrators, and so congratulations to @FederalBureauFBI and  (Best Forum Moderators), , and @AceFace72 (Best Chat Moderators), @loktinho, @Shar0n and @icerugby (Best Consultants), and and @Valletta (Best Reporters). They received the special "Helpers" paint which they kept for the whole of November (more info below).

6 Nov 2013 New physics model for tanks
This topic contained a video showing how the game designers are tackling the new physics. Problems with collisions when going too fast have lead to tanks driving through barriers have arisen, and the designers have worked hard to fix it. They now have a working engine that could be released, and it is currently undergoing testing. Swinging of tanks is back, like in the first open test, but it will be almost impossible for a heavy tank such as Mammoth, but lighter hulls such as Wasp or Hornet will have this ability. Tank speeds have been decreased slightly to reduce the likelihood of errors and glitches, but tanks are still much faster than they are now. Even better, they are less likely to do wheelies now, which was quite annoying. Turrets have also been improved too, like Shaft having a full charge time of only 3 seconds. Twins' plasma balls all travel at the same speed (from M0 to M3) and are much larger. Reminding you of before the rebalance, the Freeze effect will be shorter, and the normal speed of a tank will be re-gained faster after frozen. To top it all off, the turret turn speed and the impact from shots have been increased.

7 Nov 2013 Discount on crystals bought via PayPal
A special 25% sale was introduced on crystals being bought through PayPal, and was valid for 24 hours. This sale meant that to buy 6000 crystals (5000 plus the bonus 1000) would cost $2.33 instead of the usual $3.11. To help players work out how much a certain amount cost with the sale, a useful calculator was created and posted in the topic. A brilliant time to stock up on some crystals!

7 Nov 2013 Paint for the best helpers of the month
The staff members that have been chosen as the best helpers of the month have been awarded with this impressive paint, so those playing in the same battle as them can admire their hard work. This paint doesn't just look nice, it also has 18% protection against all turrets. As said above, the paint remained in the garage of the best helpers for the whole of November. Here's what the paint looks like:

9 Nov 2013  Offline Tanki Tournament
Tanki recently hosted its first ever real tournament in Perm, where its offices are based. Players could come and play Tanki, as well as purchase Tanki merchandise and meet the developers. The players that won got prizes such as T-Shirts, with the overall winners getting real money as prizes! Hopefully we will see tournaments in other parts of Russia, and then all over the world! You can find more pictures here.

11 Nov 2013 Latest changes in micro-upgrades
Another video, explaining the changes in the upcoming micro-upgrades. It explains that the micro-upgrades can only be released after the new physics come out, as the new physics will change the specifications of some hulls and turrets, and the micro-upgrades must be based on these new specifications. Not only that, new specifications mean new tactics, so upgrading something now might not be so good if you were to upgrade it after the new physics. The game designers removed the chance of failure due to popular demand and designed a new system, where each upgrade gives you progressively less. This means that the first upgrade might give you +3, but the last may only give you +0.2. If you fully micro-upgrade the item, you get a 75% discount on the next modification. It is expected to be introduced to the game by the end of Autumn!

13 Nov 2013 25% discount on all hulls
A special garage sale, where you had the chance to get 25% off any modification of any hull - from heavy Mammoth to light Wasp. Just like the PayPal sale, this event lasted 24 hours. This was a great opportunity to spend the crystals saved-up from the PayPal sale!

21 Nov 2013 Tanki wins the Runet Prize
Congratulations to Tanki for winning the 'Game of Runet' category in the Runet Prize, a famous Russian award. Tanki celebrated the victory with its players, with a 50% discount on all turrets in the game on November 24th. As well as this, each time the players received their daily bonus for three days they also got a crystal bonus worth three times the crystal daily bonus they would receive at their rank. And if this wasn't enough, the battle fund was doubled, a great few days to earn crystals!

24 Nov 2013 The Tankers' VLOG
Recently, Archangel, one of the well known members of staff started a brand new project under the name "The Tankers VLOG". Using all his creativity and skills, he created a video in the style of the official Tanki vlogs. He delivered news, updates, funny pictures and the hottest threads in the forum in a cool and entertaining way, and it got a great reaction from the players. Arch needs a team to create more videos in the future, so if you think you are creative and up to the job you can send him a private message about joining the team. You can watch the vlog here.

24 Nov 2013 Lucky 7 Tournament
The Lucky 7 tournament has ended, and with a new champion! Congratulations Noob Army! Their success and hard work earned them 800 000 Crystals, 400 of each supply and the amazing Lucky 7 paint. They defeated Vengeance by a score of 5-1 in the final to become the new champions. Vengeance won 800 000 crystals and 400 of each supply in second place, while Cobras Dangerous took third, earning 700 000 crystals and 300 of each supply. You can read a review of the tournament here and if you missed any matches, you can still watch them here.

26 Nov 2013 Cybersport 2.0
The new cybersport rules have been officially announced, with major changes to the cybersport system to take place in December. The main change is the new league system, which will get rid of teams, and divide the clans into 4 leagues: novice M2 clans, novice M3 clans, strong M3 clans and the top 16 clans. Clan licenses have also been cancelled, meaning new clans can just be created. Tandem and Solo TOF tournaments no longer exist either, instead, players will be able to create their own tournaments, and the best organizers may be able to join the cybersport team. You can see the changes in detail here.

26 Nov 2013 Friends System Updated
The friends system has been updated, bringing us the new function of being able to invite our friends to the battles we are in, by simply clicking the friends list while you are in a battle, then clicking on any of your friends that are online and choosing the option "Invite". A notification will then be delivered to them, telling them your battle type, server, and if there are any spots available. They can then either accept or deny the invitation. In addition, the update means we can now see which server our online friends are in.

29 Nov 2013 Discount on mines and crystals and Mine It All!
Another sale on purchasing crystals via PayPal, still giving you a 25% discount when you buy. More importantly, there is a 90% sale on mines, meaning a mine costs a mere 5 crystals! This reminded me of the 90% discount of the score multiplier pass some time ago. In conjunction with this wonderful discount, a new Tanki Facebook competition has begun called 'Mine It All!' To enter, you have to write a message or an image using mines, either on your own or with some friends. (Why not invite some using the new Invite update?) For it to qualify, it must be posted in the Facebook link above in a comment and should have your username on it so if you win, the prize can be given to you. Good luck!

I hope you enjoyed this month's article, please leave any comments below. Special thanks to for writing half of this article and @Lhamster for making the logo and proofreading.

The content of this article is longer than previously, which is good. Also, I'm glad to see you haven't tried to go for half-humour, half-fact, and have stuck to one theme ^_^

However, the actual content fails to engage the reader. It's well-written, yes, but rather boring as an article. It contains some interesting snippets of info, but unfortunately, a lot of it is stuff that readers already know... so maybe this article would be something good to refer back to in a year in order to see what went on at this time, but it's not something I'd enjoy reading currently.

TBH, that's kind of why I included the humour when I wrote the first few articles of this series; to make it all more interesting. I'm not sure the idea actually works very well without it.

Just my opinion - overall, a decent but unremarkable article. It is an improvement on last time, though.

You asked someone else to help you with the article? It'd be fine if it were a Reporter, but if it isn't...

The breaking news team is supposed to help create a monthly article. G, being part of the breaking news, helped

So then a fellow Reporter is incapable?

I didn't actually comment on the article itself - it's just telling you what happened, which isn't particularly interesting. In my eyes:

This update, this happened.

This sale, you can buy soandso for soandso off.

What makes this article special? The coloured font? Because it certainly isn't the content.

I suggest you try something other than this, because you don't seem to look at your articles from the reader's perspective - you are not writing a report of a crime scene, it is something which should at least contain something which lightens the mood (and NOT just "great! You can buy this for half price!" because that really sounds forced and unnatural).

OK, that makes sense. I personally don't have an issue with G having helped out here.

Thanks for your suggestions goldrock, i will sure think about them next time :)

You're welcome, and that's good - this is very well-written (very few grammar mistakes), actually, even if the content could be worked on ^_^
