Multiple ilnesses because of virus. help!

Right now I am ill. I have three problems because of my illness:

Overflowing of saliva in my mouth

Vomiting

Bruised throat caused because of vomiting

I don't know what to do! I can't have any medicine because of overflowing of saliva. My neck is dry and bruised so I am not supposed to swallow anything and when I do it hurts. What do I do to fix these three problems?!

1. Drink water, drink more water. Maybe try tea or even broth (if your stomach can hold that, which I doubt).
2. Sleep.
If this doesn't go away in a week or so and if you don't get a serious fever, there is no need to visit a doctor, nor taking any medication.

An overflowing of saliva can be the result of either inflamed sinus (sinus infection), which can be caused by a bad cold, or you are allergic to something. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms:  smelly yellow colored lungee's (spit), pressure or pain around the face and eyes, headache in the forehead, plugged-up nose, congestion and runny nose, fever and cough, a cold that has lasted longer than 10 days. Then it is most likely a sinus condition. If you can't afford to go to a doctor, or if a clinic or emergency room is out of reach. You should drink plenty of fresh clean water, and try to eat food to keep your strength up (soft foods if throat is badly inflamed). You say your neck is dry, so I'm assuming you mean you're referring to your throat. A dry throat can cause an over abundance of saliva as well. Drinking plenty of "fresh water" will put fluids back into your body. The vomiting may be the result of swallowing too much saliva. There's nothing worst than vomiting on an empty stomach. The water will fill that empty space, and give you something to hurl. This will also assist in the healing of your now inflamed throat. Citrus is also good (vitamin C) like from orange's etc. Keep your stomach full, drink fresh water, stay warm, get plenty of rest, but don't lay around too much. Get up and walk around if you can to get the blood flowing. If your condition worsens you are going to have to call someone you know so they can get you some care. I don't know what country you live in, but there are many clinics around the world that have simple medication that will help you. If you are in a remote area, there might be some elders who live close by that have home remedies. If not. Fresh water, soft foods, citrus, rest, minimal exercise, stay warm, practice good hygiene. And try not to swallow your saliva if over abundant. If you spit, do so in the toilet, or someplace where the germs wont spread.

My best advise is for you to seek medical treatment, if this continues, or if you have had this problem longer than 10 days.

P.S. Keep your sense of humor...Laughter produces good endorphins (look it up) that help in the body's natural healing process..... :)

I can only laugh partly. Even if I'm drinking water I feel quite a pain in the neck (literally so don't get it in a rude way). The saliva is appearing so fast that bits of it goes along with water or anything... I've had a cold for quite a while now, but simptoms have been accuring since yesterday. It's better with vomiting now but no change with my throat or saliva and I think I caught diorhea too. But I feel a bit like my neck is healing, so I have to get it heal for quite before I start drinking or eating.

Btw how is it possible to be for 10 or more days?! I'd say that you would die before 10 days even pass by. I hope I'm not gonna die... You know, I oncr had a cold like this but it was easier to deal with because I didn't have a sour and bruised throat.

Laugh to yourself quietly, sip the water, say to yourself “I am not a pain in the neck”. And remember, no matter how you may feel as though your going to die. Your not going to over a common cold, or sinus condition...Warm your food and mush it up, or put it in a blender. There are two things that may put your mind at ease. You can’t catch diarrhea (don’t try). And seeing as it’s inescapable at this stage, you might as well “Nitro-up!” and “Cap that flag!”

Incase you get board with yourself, this might be a good time to hone those shadow puppet skills. You know. Do the things you never had time for...Here, this will get you started. Who knows. One day you may become the greatest shadow puppeteer in the world.

isn't that rabies?

Really that's rabies? I thought it was some kind of desease you get from really ill birds...

Ok, so basically I'm so dumb at even finding out where it hurts! It wasn't a bruised neck but tonsilitis that I had. Only today I started using antibiotics so no change yet, but it seems just a bit easier to swallow now. For a moment I was thinking to pour all of them in my mouth and wait till I get cured soon - bad idea.

What should I drink? Btw my tonsils doesn't hurt that much at all anymore but I still have saliva building up in my mouth and idk how to stop it, it's damn annoying btw!
