Update 205 — New Physics

I play mainly Future, Silence and Sephurov, which I found to be the best for long range strategy.

The problem I found with the Shaft turret with the new settings is that the Fast movement of the new hulls do not match the speed of your gun at sniper mode, making accuracy at shooting much harder now.

As a long range weapon, you main plan should be cleaning the area for fast moving tanks on your team, as well as offer protection when they confront the enemy. In small maps it's harder because the capacity The Shaft had to shot normal rounds without using the telescopic mode is in existence once you shot once, the waiting time for loading only allows you to run. Even if you are a snipe, you should be able to reload half the times faster, any sniper in real life has the capacity to shot more than one hit in time , if you have to move your post to protect your self, then the Sniper effect is lost. You are being sing, and you are being aimed, without a chance to shot back.

I agree with you with the fact that Shaft are not Campers, they used to be a strategic weapon in more elaborated strategies. Before the update, Shaft had its own weaken points, that opponents had to discover, but now those weaken points have been exarcebated, mainly with the waiting time for reload.

I think the experience could change if your always play team games with the same people, they know you and they can cover.

In my case, I used to pick weak teams to boost their possibilities, overturning many games in our favor. But under the new update, it's impossible.

I'll give it one more change. I will change my hull to a more solid one, but I doubt it will make the whole experience enjoyable.

I agree, it's very difficult to move the scope, in sniper mode, to keep up with faster tanks but what I try and do is to pick a spot on a map where the enemy has the smallest possible path to enter into your territory. That gives you a smaller range to move the turret through. Also, after a few minutes of playing a game, the playing style of each member of the enemy team becomes apparent and you can almost predict which path or route they are going to take.

In my opinion, it's a very strategic game when you play with a shaft.

Playing team games is the only type of games I play. I know I'll fail terribly at anything other than a team game with a shaft.

I agree that small maps are difficult except for maybe Highlands.

If you're on the red team, CTP is great for Highlands. If you're on the blue team, go for TDM.

On silence, the best spot for the blue team is at the edge of the top level because you have a view of both ramps. I've got crazy D/L's by playing there.

There's also a spot on the lower level of the blue team behind one of the walls.

If you're on the red team in Silence and you have decent support from your team mates, you can virtually live on the lower ramp with just the turret showing. Other weapons find it hard to hit you when you have just that tiny turret showing but you, as a shaft, will have perfect aim. I just got a D/L of 22 earlier today doing this, in a TDM.

Go with a heavy hull. You don't need to pick up crystal boxes. If you play the shaft right, you'll usually be either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd in your team and you'll get a whole lot of crystals without collecting a single box.

I also like to go into a game where the team I join is slightly trailing :) It feels good to turn the game over.

But seriously, don't give up on it yet. It may just be that you don't have as much time to play right now but once you get used to the new shaft, you may like it better. I certainly do.

The one thing I would change is that when you are fully loaded in sniping mode and you want to get out of the scope in order to move or look around, you have to wait to reload again before you can get into the scope...that sucks a little.

PS: another thing I do is, I position myself in a spot where if I came out of sniping mode, I'd immediately be able to see as much of the area around me as possible.

Thank you :)  This is looking more and more like a Group Therapy after a terrifying shock. Adaptability is Evolution, but crap, Evolution does;t happens in few days.

look people mammoth ,twins and smoky were op and now they have been balanced. Its fair now

Fair?  Fair is for children who cannot use tools according to their functions.  Mammoth was always slow, but powerful. Obviously not designed to capture flags, so it never got the points for that, but it was designed to be hard to kill and to be accurate from a distance.  But now, the "fair" of it all is a tank that cannot maneuver due to some *****'s idea of how a tank should steer, and it takes 8 seconds to reload, which is utterly unrealistic (you'd toss your loader out of the tank and teach someone how to drop a breach and toss in a shell in more like 4 seconds).

I've about 9 different set ups, and they all suck now.  ALL of them.  Not due to the hull/weapon combination, but due to BAD reconfiguration of something that was fine to begin with.

Guess I'll take my money elsewhere.  You guys leave me no choice.

Haha :) True that.

I moved to a Titan M2 from a Mammoth M2 after the new physics and I hate it when people bump into you when you're aiming and you shoot off target...mammoth didn't move as much when anyone bumped you.

I play shaft to, best map in my opinion is Subway (with mines you can close your area from behind)

My result: (The 1 is no kill, but game error, refresh browser) I play with no drug (just mines).

wv8tpi.gif

But I miss old shaft, the scope was better balanced (loading time was fair + fast shoot with less damage and possibility to defence ... other maps is my shaft unfortunately useless at this moment.

I hope they will change something, because this is no fun (other maps im just duck with no strategic power).

I'll try to master the New Dead Shaft over a Hunter (or Viking, I'm not sure what I have) I like to have some mobility, more now that I need to hide for 8 seconds before shooting again. Some mobility allows me to change strategies base on the dynamic of the game. The problem with you hull is can be pushed very easy.

The Titan can be pushed away? After the new physics, I believe the Titan is the most powerful tank. Apparently, it can now push away the Mammoth.

Were you referring to the Titan?

Foul play discover??????????

Why??????????????,,

I do nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!4

Just play!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same problem in one game. I had a nice D/L and then I got kicked saying "Foul play was discovered"...I came back to the game and obviously lost all my stats so I didn't get many crystals :/

You - us with this changes! Thunder's recharge is slower, I lost all battles with decent oponents, I feel I must give up to the Thunder :(  ...

Horent and WASP have almost the same speed just different strenth but at M2 level both have same speed, same strenght. Until now I fought with a WASP M0, waiting especially to enjoy the speed of an M1 and now ...

No, not good at all. I really don't like, I reduced my presence here, is not attractive anymore ... Pitty, was a nice game ...

That 38 million registered players is a very inflated number. The actual number of unique and valid players is much much lower, my guesstimate is 3 or 4 times lower. Many players including me have multiple accounts, I have 4 and this is not my main account ;)

I know some have as much as 5 or 6 accounts but usually it's 2 or 3 accounts.

yes, here you are right in what concerns the multitude of accounts, but i have relied on the accuracy and honesty<<company>>....

now what to think? in general about all the change, and attention- today we one year since gama Tanki and change 123...do you have any suggestions for us and Generalissimo awaiting a change of about two years, but for the better? thinks and responds only after until then, success in battle.

I don't think that this update effects players like me. It affects the lower levels. I've been playing this game since 2011 longer that 75% of Tanki members and I never bought... And the reason I never bought is: one, I don't need too because I earn 10k Crys a week. And 2 a Russian game can't be trusted. I don't want to be racist (I'm Russian myself) but u just can't trust. When have you ever seen this happen in an American game...NEVER. The so called *physics* are another rebalance but with no refund. And a lot of people say IM GOING TO STOP PLAYING will stop....for one week and then come back. Tanki Online has absolutely no worries about it self. Now like I was saying I have nothing to worry about. Gamers will adjust and Tanki will be the #1 game again. I have learned that from experience. So stop complaining. Ya somethings were buffed and others nefered, be real tankers and DEAL WITH IT. Thx for reading and have fun!

@Bayside_Wisconsin/ @themaster765:

This was the closing message Semyon had at the 25% Discount for Crystals topic.

''Thanks for taking part in the sale. Hope you guys bought some crystals, you'll need it soon! ''

This caught my attention! You see, I'm not sure if he's talking about:

Micro-upgrades

or

Sale!
