Interesting Jai....and thanks for informing me better...still...that doesnt changes anything, does it? Buyers buy kits now.....with paints that would normally come 6-7 ranks later...same for modifications.....not to mention Drugs...a buyer's rating can't be reliable source of how good he is! ;)

Well, i understand your point. But to be honest, a buyer will have hard times to climb the top 10.000 just by buying. I hardly played in the past two years and dropped just 3.000 places. I am currently at 4060 and slowly climbing again, after beeing more active. I have been in the top 10.000 since i was Wo4 and never been out of it since.

 

To climb you need a good d/l, so user of isida have it really hard to improve the rating.

I like to snipe and try to avoid geting killed, drugging is a option i gladly take, but at my rank it is quite common.

Well...imagine how difficult it is for a non-buyer to climb up in ratings among other buyers.....especially on "noob" ranks....where you can't really play NS battles (cause there aren't any). After brigadier rank...non-buyers can have some fun at last with lots of NS battles in S2. Other than that.....the best player on Tanki can only rise through a tournament, where everybody would have same combos...no drugs,nor paints...so that only skill determines the outcome.

A Duel will not make you "THE BEST", only "The Best Duellist" if you win everytime.

But a solo playing Duellist might be no good in a team battle.....

Cause he may have actually "bought" that rating with money....you may not be aware of this but...once you buy crystals with money, that automatically affects your rating....keep in mind that a buyer will buy drugs and drug all day long...thus having advantage over other players.....so looking only at the rating would be useless. I have done my rating without ever bying anything...and whoever i have asked so far at my ranks none of them had higher rating than me...talking about non-buyers always ( @FatalTank and my rating >> http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=184731&page=2&do=findComment&comment=3287546)...noone ...so in my case, rating proves my ability...but in a buyer's case...it just won't matter!

 

buying crystals only added to your rating before rebalance. It no longer does now..
