This was a useless reply and didn't help one bit. My tanki account has been blocked and I'm now left, after playing for two years, as a sergeant, an awful rank. tanki online help has sent me other emails which didn't help and I feel that they haven't helped one bit. Why not just change my username???

Why what? What exactly is "not helpful"? They told you you were blocked for inappropriate name and they ask you for a new one you want to use. Just send it to them and they'll change it.

Internet safety? How is screening your IP and screen hosting site not safe...

If you are scared of completing those steps, then you can't prove you're the account owner, thus you can't change your nickname.

Well they already know it, you know. But they need it from your "mouth", so they can be sure you're the account owner :)

And can you explain me how is imageshack.com, a site with billion pictures, used by million of people, a "hackers website"?

Even 10 question marks won't help you at all. And use the Edit option, making several posts one after another will just get you banned on this account aswell, for flood.

 

You can't prove the account is yours just with a password, because you might have given the password to someone, or someone could've guessed it and used it. That's why you need to fill all those points mentioned by tech support.

Not sure if you are trolling or you really can't read or understand what I say.

 

Imageshack.com has no viruses. Nor the IP check site has. But if you are so sure there are viruses - then don't use the internet at all, theoretically any site can be full of viruses.

Password IS NOT enough proof that you are the account owner. Account owner may have given his password to someone and THIS someone may be writing the email for changing name. If support accepts this, that someone will change your name WITHOUT you wanting, or knowing about it. That's why password IS NOT enough proof for account owning and that's why you need to answer ALL of the points mentioned by support in order to change your name.

Well, if somebody changes my name, it wouldn't matter because I can't get on to tanki anyway. a Bunch of useless replies. i've been playing for two years and now what, help people and you just not listening. If a password is known by somebody else, then a account is useless and you're saying passwords are useless too!

 

You have effectively denounced the use of passwords!

 

 

 

Just saying, if I had given away my password , they could answer the help peoples questions and change my account anyway

Tanki has clearly laid out what u need to do, and basically ur saying image hosting websites and ip sites are full of viruses. I'm sure your just doing this to annoy everyone.
