ok change your DNS server to Google DNS server. by the way which operating system you using? i can help you in DNS.

No Offence! But It's better to use the method I told in my post because Google DNS Sever is not much fast in some countries. So better to scan what is faster and closer to your location using a benchmark!

First off all you are encouriging the asker to 'Download' the software. which can be harmful. there is the solution without installing software so why some one take risk with downloading the software.

So I'm working really hard right now trying to boost my wifi connection... I looked online and it says that changing DNS server will help.. If anyone knows anything about networking, do you have any tips?

I tried changing DNS servers about 2 years ago (i think) and honestly, it's neither that much better, nor faster. Personally, I think it's a waste of time. If it's for Tanki, just keep playing and playing and it'll get better.

My OS:

I downloaded the namebench thing a few days ago and did some tests. However, every time I change my DNS to the suggested one, I run a new test and it suggests me a better DNS...

Also, I can't find a DNS Jumper for Mac. All of them are Windows... :(

If you are a mac user you can do the same procees which DNS Jumper does manually!

1) Go to the System Preferences -> Network and select your network connection which is on the left side bar.

2) Then type in the Primary Server and the Secondary Server result that you got from the namebench benchmark in the DNS Server Textfield which is on the right.

DNS Jumper is a freeware which makes you easy to change the DNS Server which is a little long way. But in MAC you must do it manually.

Hope it helped!

Good Luck!

It is a trusted and wide used software and it does not carry any malware!
