Many people will disagree with me on this, and that's fine. I'm still a noob.  :P I kinda like to use Thunder on light hulls. This way, when you see an enemy, you can back off while shooting and avoiding too much splash damage.

I like to use Thunder with Viking. I really like that combo because Viking has good speed and good hp. I like to camp, and when 2 or more tanks are fighting, I let them damage themselves and then I shoot when I think they have low hp.  But you must time good for this tactic to work. At first I failed a lot, but now I'm good at it. But who am I to know, I'm a noob.  :mellow:

Hornet/Viking for low ranks - Thunder's large damage combined with a light, compact hull's speed and maneuverability gives a great advantage when stealing flags or dodging enemy shots.  :)  Until people upgrade their hulls and you're pretty much useless.  :(

Thunder isn't much an attack weapon, nor a defense weapon.

Medium distance is what it suits the best, thus a medium hull like Dictator, or Viking would fit the best for it.

Atleast it does, for me:

I bump into stuff and tend to damage myself more with lighter hulls, and Mammoth doesn't have the speed to keep up with the enemies;

when they get further away from you... as Thunder isn't that good in long range.
