How do points work in capturing the flag?

Take silence as an example, my teammate took enemies' flag and died, I took it from him and captured the flag. The score ( 10 players are in enemies' team) should be 100 but 2 players took the flag, so how the points spread out? Just 50/50 or something?

Depends, this algorithm is very complex actually. The amount of score you get depends on how many players there are in the other team, how many players touched the flag, and what distance they ran with it.
So, in your situation, if you took the flag right at the last moment, next to your base then you should have got a very few points. If you ran a relevant distance with it instead, you should have got more.

So if one of your teammates loses the flag and you get it, you can run in circles for a long time and then cap it for a lot of points?

And get banned for sabotage -> Good plan

I don't know the technical stuff behind this, but I think the distance from the flag counts. Let's make an every day example: Silence.

A player dropping the flag at point A should get 20%, at B 50%, and at C 80% of the score. More or less. But I repeat this derives from my personal experience, because internal mechanisms of the games are hardly disclosed

Edit: We shall now call archangel to reveal the mistery in his next vlog

I have some important information. That reason why I ranked up so quick from captain to this rank was because of flag capping. I do know out of experience that u can 100 expect for capping a flag with 10 people in it. So if I'm in bobruisk and I get a flag and cap it while there are 8 enemies in the battle I get 80.

Also, the more flags I get without killing people, which is what I tend to do, then the less exp I get. When there is around 3 to 4 players with 0 score ( recently joined or are pathetically unskilled) then you don't get the exp for capping the flag against them. For example if there are full team of 10 players and 3 run away due to my skills and 3 join then if I cap while the 3 ones are joined while with no exp then I don't get the exp for it.!

Sometimes as soon as I join a game then i go 234 straight away and go for flag. If I get it as soon as I join and drug and cap the flag then I only get around 10 exp

You can trust what I say because capping is mainly what I did from major to bregadier. You can't blame me, the titan and smoky m2 wasn't going to be unlocked by it self :(

Nick, also, if you are the person to cap, regardless of how far the other person who dropped the flag ran, you get 50% of points at least, I have proven this with friends :)

lol no not like that. The distance measured from the enemy flag stand to your team flag stand. If you go back and come again it will not gonna increase.

Good image; however, I think you interpreted the maths a little incorrectly.

- Player 1 takes the flag to A. He gets 20% of the score.

- Player 2 takes the flag from A to B. He gets 30% (50-20) of the score.

- Player 3 takes the flag from B to C. He gets 30% (80-50) of the score.

- Player 4 takes the flag from C, and captures it. He gets 20% (100-80) of the score.

That adds up to 100%. I hope that clears up the maths behind Nick's idea for those who were wondering - it certainly seems like a logical theory ^_^

Nope in fact what I was meaning is a player taking the flag to point A, and letting another player capture. The players get 20% and 80% respectively. Then another player takes another flag to point B and when another player captures they get 50% each. This is what I was meaning, sorry for being not clear
