Overpowered Smoky...

Great you all like the idea, but it probably won't be changed. I do think it would be nice to have a gun like that as an addition to the game.

You did understand perfectly. I just didn't descibe the parameters which could be MU'ed.

 

But I think you could change it so that you could still latch that affect onto multiple tanks. Like say you shoot a Titan 4 times, and then you shoot  a Hornet once, and then you go back to shooting the Titan, the 4 shots are not lost. . . .

I personally think that would make it overpowered, because it would mean every shot you land correctly does the maximum damage. Take Silence for example, it would be hard to miss a tank in such crowded maps.

There should not be a max damage in the cycle because by the time you shoot your third shot, they would have turned around. That would make smoky a very good defence weapon paired with freeze. And the cycle should be taken off if your using nuke or smoky would become the new druggers choice weapon.

I think there should be a max damage, but that is my personal preference! And about becoming a druggers choice weapong, well every weapon doubles it's damage, so I don't se a problem here.

@Disorderly: Yes, but Hulls these days move very fast. So it's extremely easy for them to just run off and you'll have to start from scratch. So to balance it out, I'm suggesting it not lose the shot build-up.

 

Furthermore, how many shots are we talking about here to get to maximum? I was thinking you were talking about 5~6 shots.

If its like 7-10 shots, then I'd be okay with it not losing the shot build-up. I'd think 5-6 would be a little too easy considering how fast smoky shoots.. and how easy it is (especially in medium or small maps) to hit targets consistently without missing.

Smoky is not op. I used it in test server with titan and i was not doing it well. Then i changed to my main combo isida hornet and i captured flag when i want :D

I use Smoky in medium maps with open ground; that's where it performs at it's best.

Pretty stupid to use Smoky in small or large maps. (especially with a lot of obstacles)

 

Aiming is not that accurate, and critical chance is NOT that much.

Sure it has peeks... but on average it's just enough to make it bad at small maps, and good at open medium maps; in other words, balanced.

 

You need to hit your enemy directly, every single shot if you want to deal maximum damage.

Thus if you're being attacked by a Freeze... you're pretty much doomed.

 

Why aiming is so hard, is because it fires fast with recoil.

Small shots with low damage, will cause you to expose yourself more than Thunder or Railgun.

 

If you don't fire Smoky as fast as it can... you're already using it in the wrong way.

Peek a boo tactics with Smoky is the worst thing to do.

 

You need 'chances' as much chances as possible, in the smallest amount of time.

Pure because of the critical hit.

yea,you need to shoot as many shoots as you can :)

Perhaps because the factor 'Luck' should be ruled out as much as possible in a strategic game...

 

Smoky could easily be adjusted, while still remaining a popular weapon. The changes I have in mind are even more interesting than waiting for a 'critical' to come along!

 

Keep smoky a rapid fire weapon, but with each shot you land on an enemy tank the damage increases. If you decide to target another tank or hit a wall, then the cycle starts all over again. You all feel free to fill in the numbers and decide if there should be a limit in (max) damage.

 

The result: less luck, more skill!!

Now that, is not a bad idea at all.

@Lentovni: Your fault for playing with Colonels+. Stick with going against Lieutenants or WO's. Then get better equipment so you'll be able to truly compete with Smoky M2. You'll dominate against the smaller ranks. . .. right? I hope so.

 

If you're not going against Colonel+, then I'm sorry, but you're going to rage once you see Smoky at M2. 'Cause M1's are weak in my opinion. It all gets good at M2. :)

With all due respect for the rank of the starter of this topic I have to tell that the ideea of a OP smoky is bul........ Pls don't be offended. And about the weapons wich should be eliminated from the game IMAO are freeze, isida and firebird.

Did you even try Ricochet with full MU? It can dominate Smoky users..

 

As for Smoky, it is very overpowered, critical hits happen more than 8.00%, when MU'd they happen more like 20%, I used M1 at Major, MAJOR, it dominates, when I drug, I beat the enemies so bad.

 

 

I think, they should lower the impact force of smoky, so that other weapons like Rail hits it easily.
